The garden is used as one of the places to have breakfast: a very nice experience indeed. Just a suggestion: Use it also in the evening to have dinner. ... Very nice hotel, good service, well located towards the city.

The reception staff throughout our stay was extremely kind, polite and helpful. We were not easy guests, since we are in our 70's and my wife has serious spine and hip problems. The reception staff was very obliging in arranging restaurant reservations, directions to shopping, taxis, help with baggage, banking, train reservations, etc.
... The one criticism we have is that the restaurant (franchised) associated with the hotel was poor. Service was not good. Food was so-so. We never went back. ... EFFICIENT, ORGANIZED, FRIENDLY, ACCURATE. ... We would go there again [and simply avoid the hotel restaurant]. The included breakfast [handled by the hotel not the restaurant] was excellent, with a wide selection of tasty items, supported by plenty of friendly staff, and not too strict on the time limits. ... The hotel is small, centrally located, clean, friendly---in short excellent! Avoid the farnchised restaurant.

It is a great hotel for it was situated in down town Firenze. Close to major sites and museums. Ladies, check out those wonderful boutiques. Also close to some streets with antique shops. The hotel has a very nice restaurant but I found it a bit quiet. ... Really nice hotel with friendly staff and so close to everything that is worth visiting.

The Hotel is a short walk to the centre of Florence, but you appreciate this after visiting one of the many good restaurants. We found the hotel very good value & the staff were always on hand with a smile for any need we had

We had a late arrival and the luggage proter was not available, so we had tocarry our luggage ourselves to the room. Other than that the reception clerk was fine and gave us the best room he had left. Next morning we changed to abetter room. ... The bufet breakfast could be improved by adding some fresh vegetables, making better coffee and giving some veriety in general. When you stay in the hotel for 10 days, like we did, it is nice to see some change and veriety in the bufet.
We want to give special recommendation to one of the reception clerks by the name of Rolando. He was very helpful during our stay and went out of his way to make our stay pleasant. ... Very good location; polite help; the room and the whole hotel was kept very clean.

Due to road construction in Florence, it was very difficult to locate the hotel. We spent the better part of an hour looking for it. Also, the internet directions only told how to reach the hotel by car coming from one highway, not the numerous which were available. ... The breakfast was the only disappointment. The scrambled eggs were not edible. The sausages were floating face down in boiled, cold water.
If you want to advertise an 'American' breakfast, it needs to be warm, and American standards. The pastries were old and stale, and the fruit was limited. The only downside to the hotel was this breakfast. I would clearly stay here again, but I would not eat breakfast.
Also, the poor breakfast made us decide not to eat in the hotel's restaurant.
