EVERYONE at the hotel was extremely friendly and helpful, from the moment we arrived, until we left. The location was very convenient to everything, the hotel is beautiful and the rooms were large, nicely furnished and very clean. The only problem we had was with the air conditioning. It was very hot in Florence when we arrived and, although the web site stated that the hotel was air conditioned, it had not been turned on when we arrived. The nights were cool, but the noise in the streets made it difficult to sleep with the doors/windows open. After asking several times to have the AC turned on, the management finally agreed. The systems in two of our three rooms worked, but unfortunately, one room didn't get AC until the last day. The hotel personnel tried to correct the situation, calling in a repair person and even offering another hotel room for sleeping. Otherwise our stay was PERFECT and we would definitely return.

We cannot say enough about the prfessionalism, friendliness and desire to please of the entire hotel staff. From carrying bags to serving breakfast, from suggesting restuarants to providing extra towels, EVERY person had an 'I aim to please' attitude. It was refreshing and most enjoyable.

The air conditioning in the rooms is not individually controlled in the rooms unless the system for the entire building is turned on. This is not a problem so long as the hotel management is willing to turn the system on at the request of the guests...or, even better that they are proactive and turn the system on whenever the weather requires it.

Most charming appearance and such a welcome! Full of smiles, suggestions for tea or cold drink and rooms ready for us to DROP in after such a long flight. Everything we had hoped for with balcony included.

We were delighted by all that we found. The staff was so helpful in making advanced ticket reservations (since we were visiting during Easter Week), as well as restaurant recommendations and reservations. Each time we required information maps were produced, cabs were called and always with a smile and kind word.
Our shower lacked a door so we always had water on the floor that required our mopping up....we would have enjoyed a curtain or door so that we did not have to clean up shower water....perhaps we do not have the Knack for using it correctly.

Staff was kind enough to prepare for our early departure, including tea, toast, fruit, removal of our luggage and hailing a large cab for all of our STUFF. All of this took place at 6:30 am and with many smiles and greetings.

The only issue we would address is the noise on the corner that occurs between 1 and 4 am each day. It is difficult for you when there is a stop light on the corner but on two occasions in the middle of the night glass windows were broken, many nights alarms went off and on 3 occasions right below our window there were groups shouting, arguing, etc. Perhaps there needs to be some sort of occasional patroling of the area.
I think you should emphazise what a wonderfu location you have that makes it so easy to walk to all shopping as well as the major art and historic museums! This was such a plus, particularly when we were strangers to the city and it was so difficult to try and understand what was a good and safe location and what might not be acceptable when just looking at a map. It took me 2 months of investigating on the web each night and when I had narrowed it down to 3 I contacted each and made my final decision due to the personability of your staff (Monica,in fact) who was so charming and helpful in answering my questions and assisting with tickets and reservations. That is always what 'seals the deal'-how the staff responds from a distance! Your staff won hands down! Suggestion: Would have enjoyed being able to return in the late afternoon for a glass of wine in the lounge while reviewing the day and waiting for dinnerwith friends.

Immaculate rooms and comfortable beds.
Cheerful breakfast room and lounge.
Highly recommend without hesitation (except would caution about night time noise)

Albergotto was very clean and centrally located. Excellent location with very friendly staff. They helped us out greatly and recommended a restaurant to us because we didn't know where to go. They arranged everything for us. They were very accommodating. What more can I say?
We are planning to go back and stay at this hotel. The service was more than I can say for Le Meridien.

Porter was extremely fast and helpful especially since main level of hotel is actually one flight up. Receptionist was terrific.

I would almost describe it as a bed and breakfast in Italy. It was very charming. Small, but will all the amenities and helpful staff of a large hotel chain.

Very efficient. Called the front desk for a porter to assist. He was at the room in minutes. All the bags downstairs and our car waiting for us.

A centrally located Bed and Breakfast. I felt that it really wasn't a hotel. There wasn't really a bar. The location was great, however I don't think that I would stay there again. The staff were extremely helpful and organised tours for us a short notice.

Small, cosy, very central with most things you need as a tourist. In house dining was fairly simple.

Luggage must be taken up a flight of stairs before the elevator is available. It would be helpful if there were a way to ring for a bellman so the guests don't have to take their luggage up a flight of stairs.

Air conditioning had been turned off a day or two before our arrival. Consequently, our room was very warm and we had a difficult time sleeping comfortably. Due to the street noise we were unable to get cooler air into the room by opening a window.
