Al Citerno was clean,quiet, and charming. It is very close to Florence in a beautiful historic preservation area. Directions from the Autoestrada were confusing, but once we found the spot, (after a two-hour hunt), we were well satisfied.

Lovely medievil fortress but remote and need a car to access (or arrange lifts with hosts). Very friendlt hosts.
