By Plane The airport in Florence is Peretola, also known as Amerigo Vespucci. Peretola airport welcomes flights from Paris, Madrid and many other cities in Europe on a daily basis, as well as connections from Rome and other points within Italy. Andy House is placed only 9 kilometres from it, so if you decide to rent a car at this terminal it will be really easy to reach, or you can take also the shuttle until Firenze santa maria Novella.
By Car It will only take you 20 minutes to reach Andy House by car from Peretola airport. As you leave Sesto Fiorentino, where the airport is placed in the outskirts of the city, go along Vialle delle Idee and veer left in Via Generoso Patrone. Afterwards go along Via Madonna del Piano, pass the town of Sesto Fiorentino and you will come to a roundabout: here, take the first exit into Via Pier Paolo Pasolini, veer left into Via del Termine and then right again. Drive straight along Viale 11 Agosto, and already in Florence get on Via Sestese before turning right in Via Reginaldo Giuliani. Once you have passed Piazza Dalmazia, take your left in Via Carlo Pisacane. Go along Via Angiolo Tavanti, Piazza Pietro Leopoldo and Via Francesco Gianni, make a U-turn in Francesco Gianni and again take Piazza Pietro Leopoldo and Angiolo Tavanti. Veer right in Via Vittorio Emmanuelle II, again in Via Luigi Lanzi and continue along Viale dei Cardona. Afterwards you must turn right in Via Giuseppe Cesare Abba and left in Via della Cernaia. Continue along Piazza della Vittoria and Via Puccinotti and you will find Andy House on number 68.
Otherwise, if you are coming from highway A1, get off at the exit "Firenze nord" and follow the signs indicating "Circonvallazione" first and "Fortezza da Basso" in the second place. Afterwards drive towards "Careggi", cross a small bridge across River Mugnone and veer right into Via Venti Settembre. At the traffic light, take your left, at the second light, do it again, and as you approach Piazza della Vittoria, continue straight for 50 meters and you will come to Via Puccinotti.
By Train At Peretola airport you can take an interurban bus to reach Firenze Santa Maria Novella station. Once there, get on buses 4 or 8, unless you prefer a taxi, and get off at the stop Via Puccinotti, which is only 100 metres from Andy House. Take into account that if your plane lands in Rome, you can take the train -Eurostar line- from all stations in the capital city to Florence -it takes approximately 1 hour and a half. |
