By plane: Peretola Amerigo Vespucci airport is only 7,5 km away from B&B Ape Rosa. This airport receives daily flights from Paris, Barcelona, Madrid and many other European cities, besides many domestic flights (Roma, Milano, Sicily, Sardinia etc). The shuttle bus takes to the central train station and then it is easy to reach Ape Rosa by taxi or bus nr.4.
By car: Even though Florence is a usually discouraging city for drivers - its historical centre is closed ring the day, there are few parking places and almost all streets are one way - if you sleep at Ape Rosa you will not have to worry about this because our garden has plenty of parking space.
Exit motorway at Firenze Nord and drive towards CAREGGI and CENTRO: the road changes name from Viale Z. da Peretola into Viale degli Astronauti and Viale A. Guidoni: it is a long road with trees on the sides. At its end, follow Viale Guidoni while it bends towards left, then turn right on the bridge in Via del Ponte di Mezzo. Stay on your left because at the lights you have to turn left. Then drive under the railway bridge and turn right at the lights in the square (Piazza Dalmazia). You are now in Via F. Corridoni.
At the second street on your left, turn in Via C. Pisacane and drive straight to the top of the hill, then drive right. Once in Piazza Leopoldo drive around the square and turn right after the lights, in Via G. Fabbroni. Turn left at the roundabout. Once at the lights in Piazza Giorgini turn left and right into the steep beginning of Via dei Cappuccini. Keep driving and after the bend you will find our B&B on your right, at nr.12.
Welcome at Ape Rosa, now you can forget about our silly traffic jams and your car, just relax and enjoy your stay.
By train: At Peretola airport, you can get on the interurban bus that reaches Santa Maria Novella central station in downtown Florence. Once you arrive at the station, bus number 4 takes you directly to the Ape Rosa, as it has a stop right opposite the house. If your plane lands in Rome, there are trains departing to Florence at all of the stations in the capital city: they belong to the Eurostar line and take around 1 hour and a half to reach Florence. |
