Across the street fom the Firenze theatre and just up the road from the Piazza di Santa Croce. Wonderful people, comfortable room great service. There is nothing better in B&B

Lovely terrace (were were in the Ivory Room) with fabulous view to the hills and overlooking Santa Croce, which was a great suprise.

The staff kindly allowed us to leave our luggage at the B&B after we had checked out until later in the afternoon, and supplied us with a set of keys in order that we could let oursleves in.

A Teatro was a delightful little B&B. Our room was beautifully appointed and very clean. Breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. A throughly pleasant stay, thank you!

I only regret one thing: we had the Blue room, on Via Verdi, which is noisy during evening & night. The ownership didn't tell us that the others rooms,more expensive, were quieter because there are on other street than Via Verdi. We'll probably return in this B&B if we'll be back on Florence but I'll demand these quieter rooms. Otherwise, we've found this B&B very nice.

Rooms which are on via Verdi are noisy (there are not double glass window).
Rooms which are on the other street are more expensive but with a big terrace where you can have breakfast & especially quieter.

Very cozy, warm: it's like a very big appartement where you have a room & a bathroom. Better than an hotel because you feel like on your home, without the owner of this place -because they don't live there- and ideally located in the city: you can all visit by walk.

the bed and breakfast is very very nice and comfortable, it was definitely more than i or my family expected. and daniela was more than kind to offer us a triple room when she saw my 3 year old son was much bigger than she expected and did not charge us extra for the upgraded room. the breakfast was lovely, paula who served us was not only very italian pretty but accommodating and kind as well. she handled my son pretty well and he remembers her still. the location was also very nice. :) close to everything!!!

There was a moment of panic, when I didn't get any response from buzzing the doorbell from the street and the security gate was locked. Managed to locate the phone number of hotel, the manager was shopping and arrived 5 minutes later to let me in.

The owner very kindly allowed me to keep my room for the entire day of check out, because my flight wasn't until the evening. That allowed me an extra day of shopping in Florence without carting all my luggage and have a shower before I left for the airport.

The accomodation is on the 4th floor of what appears to be an office building. There is a security gate at the front,and a security door to access the building (both needing keys)It is not clear from the outside where the accomodation is located, more signage would be helpful. Also, as I arrived on a weekend, there was no one about to let me through these doors, so luckily I was able to phone the contact number to get someone to open the doors for me.

Lovely new bathroom, great cappucino's with breakfast, internet computer in foyer (very handy!) Great location, very central to everything. The bed took a little getting used to, as it was a very narrow single.

I had trouble calling the local number, once I was in Italy. It may have been my difficulty with the Italian language and unfamiliarity with the telephone system. I did call and connect twice, but was told by a person on the receiving telephone that I had the wrong number, one of the numbers was not in service. Again, I may not have dialed correctly. It worked out because I arrived about an hour after my anticipated time and a very kind staff person was onsite. On the other hand, if my son wasn't there to help me (he is a student there, and becoming fluent in Italian, and the knowledgable about the area), or I arrived much later, I don't know if I would have been able to be greeted at the BB. I see that this is a problem with late arriving guests, especially if they are not fluent in the Italian language or with the phone system. This would be typical of any facility that does not have residential staff nor onsite night duty staff.

For 60 Euro, I thought it was a very good value. Clean, quiet. Not spacious, but that wasn't expected. A larger bed would be welcome, even in the 'Blue Room' that I rented. I really liked Elaura, she was very kind and helpful. She let me practice my elementary Italian. I would stay again. The S. Croce area is nicely located.

A Teatro B&B was a wonderful accommodation. Our room was spacious and immaculate. The staff happily accommodated our request to have breakfast earlier than the usual breakfast hours (as we had to catch an early train on our last day).

At E80 a night, it is unbelievable value for money. It is in a convenient location for accessing all the major sights by foot, and also very close to the best gelateria in Florence.

Positive - really good location, good breakfast, not too big 'hotel', Teatro Verdi is opposite of the road
Negative - too many keys... little bit noisy at nights

Really good small b&b place, and the location is great... You can walk almost to the all Firenze tourist attractions... Great breakfast (as usually in Italy is quite bad)... Recommended!

The only downside about these otherwise good accommodations is the noise. Our room was directly over a very noisy street.

We arrived half an hour late for check -in, due to the late arrival of our train. Reception had departed for the evening and we found ourselves stranded in Florence with all our luggage. Luckily, we went to the bar down the road, told our story and the bar owner new the owner of the B&B and called them for us. We were personally collected, and checked in. In hide sight it would have been helpful if we had phoned A Teatro at an earlier point, but this was difficult as we were waiting in the train etc. I had in my booking comments, stated our estimated arrival may be half an hour to an hour after the stated final check in time and after not hearing a reply to this, I assumed this was acceptable. - Next time I'll make sure I phone!

I was disapponted after booking a double bed, to have received to singles pushed together - especially as this was our honeymoon. The single bed frames weren't the strongest and after sitting to heavily on the bed, the frame bent and the slats fell out. A little embarrassing!

We had a great time in Florence and this location was great. We are not a young couple and we walked everywhere.more than once.

There is work going on on the 3rd floor and it is loud from 8:00 am on. If you are a late or light sleeper rethink this accomodation.

A great place to stay while in Florence. Very central to all the main sights. Very clean property with an excellent breakfast. Always offered more coffee and tea in the morning. Great access to internet and printer. Overall, great value for the money!

A Teatro B&B is a bit hard to find, because it's on 4th floor in a normal house and the sign at the door is very little and hard to be seen from the sidewalk. We had to ask 3 times for it, but all the people were very friendly and helpful.

Our room was looking to the main street (a little noisy). Anyone wishing a quiet stay shoud ask for a room turned to the interior zone).

We did not feel that the rooms were very clean, particularly the bedspread and mats that were on the floor.
Service at breakfast on on day was pretty sullen and unwelcoming.

Improved cleanliness in the rooms would improve the rating above.
