From the highway:
1) Arriving from VENEZIA - MILANO - BOLOGNA: once reached Florence, carry on following the signs to ROMA; come off the motorway at junction FIRENZE SUD.
2) Arriving from GENOVA - PISA: once reached Florence, carry on following the signs to ROMA; come off the motorway at junction FIRENZE SUD.
From Firenze Sud: drive through "Via Marco Polo"; passed the bridge over the Arno river, turn left on "Via Enrico Amendola" at traffic-light; carry on street down "Lungarno Aldo Moro", "Lungarno Cristoforo Colombo" and "Lungarno del Tempio"; at traffic-light turn to the right on "Viale Giovanni Amendola" on which you must moove towards the left in order to be able to turn again to the left at next traffic-light, direction "Viale Duca degli Abruzzi"; then left again: you are on "Viale Giovine Italia"; at the big stone tower turn right direction river-side on "Lungarno della Zecca Vecchia"; then find "Piazza Cavalleggeri". At this point you enter the limited-to-traffic area (see big white sign indicating access-allowed to the hotels, and Hotel Balestri): enter "Corso Tintori" street down; at traffic-light moove left-across-in front on "Via Vagellai"; you finally reach "Piazza Mentana": Hotel Balestri is on your very left. |
