We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa di Barbano. Moraq, the owner, was always pleasant and willing to help in any way possible. Each day, there would be a small hospitality gesture left in our room---extra bottled water, wine glasses when she noticed that we had a bottle of wine, extra rolls when my huysband commented on how good they were, delightful converstaions about being an American living in Florence.
The room was average size, furnished with lovely antiques. The bathroom had plenty of room.

Casa di Barbano is a few minutes walk from the center of the city. This was perfect for return visitors to the city who did not need to be right in the middle of the sites. It is in a residential area, giving a delightfully refreshing view of Florence.

The description was accurate and the room was clean. However, the room looks better on the picture than in reality. The room needs re-decoration and painting, as the walls are dirty.

It is worth noting that 'breakfast' actually means a piece of bread / roll per person, few buiskuits and marmolade/honey, a cup of very strong coffee and a small glass of juice - all served on the tray to the room. There is actually no table at the room to sit at to have breakfast. It was definitely less that what I expected.

Negatives:
- worn-out room, dirty walls, no breakfast.
