By plane: The Peretola airport (also known as Amerigo Vespucci) in the area known as Sesto Fiorentino becomes the nearest airport to Dany House. In fact, the distance is of only 9 kilometres. This air terminal welcomes flights from Paris, Madrid and many other cities in Europe as well as connections from Rome and other sites within Italy. It is also easy to reach from the city on public transport.
By car: It will only take you 20 minutes to reach Dany House by car from the airport in Florence. As you leave Sesto Fiorentino, continue along Viale delle Idee and take your left at Via Generoso Patrone. Afterwards go along Via Madonna del Piano, passing the town of Sesto Fiorentino before reaching a roundabout: once here, take the first exit into Via Pier Paolo Pasolini, turn left into Via del Termine and then right again. Keep on straight on Viale 11 Agosto, which will lead you into Florence: go along Via Sestese and then take your right at Via Reginaldo Giuliani. After Piazza Dalmazia, turn left into Via Carlo Pisacane. You will have to get on Via Angiolo Tavanti, Piazza Pietro Leopoldo and Via Francesco Gianni, make a U-turn in Francesco Gianni and again drive along Piazza Pietro Leopoldo and Angiolo Tavanti. Take your right at Via Vittorio Emmanuelle II, turn left in Via Trieste, right into Via Trento and right again in Via Bolognese. You will find the Dany House next to the Giardino De`ll Orticultura, on number 8.
If you need to park your car, the managers of the Dany House advise to leave it at the "Parterre" public garage placed only 200 metres from the property. To reach it, look for the signs in blue that indicate the parking at Piazza della Libertį.
By train: At Peretola airport you can take an interurban bus to Santa Maria Nouvella station. Once you reach it, look for the central bus station and get on number 25. Get off at the first stop at Via Bolognese and walk to number 8. If you are coming from Rome, there are services belonging to the Eurostar line that depart from all stations in the city and arrive in Florence after a trip of 1 hour and a half. |
