| | |  The inn is placed on the first floor of a building from the 1900 located right in front of Sant Ambrogio church. This temple was constructed where Sant' Ambrose is thought to have stayed during his visit to Florence in 393. Originally, a chapel in honour of him was built at this spot in the 8th century; later on, amazing frescoes were added in the interior, some of them belonging to Filippo Lippi, Sandro Botticelli and Fra Bartolomeo. |
 The rooms of Le Contesse Firenze can work as double, single or triple, and they measure from 16 to 20 square metres: from the windows of the chambers, decorated in the inside by long, elegant curtains in burgundy, you may see the garden of the property, the courtyard or Carducci street, where the hotel is located. |
Le Contesse, which means "countess" in Italian- was opened in August 2007, after a complete renovation. Breakfast is served and Candida and Gabriella, the managers, are always pleased to help you with any request you may have. |
