I had emailed the Hotel prior to our arrival explaining that our train from Paris arrived in Florence at 7:30am, and asked if we could store our luggage until the room was ready. They agreed, and to our pleasant surprise, they had a fine room ready for us even at that early hour. These are very nice people.

The few questions we had about the shower and the air conditioning system were attended to immediately by a very please gentleman.

I arranged to pay 10euros per night less than stated, if I paid cash at checkout, which I did.
The staff very promptly called a cab for the trip to the train station.

There is a late night clear security door, opened from the inside by a desk person. I don't recall seeing that on the web site description.

Very fine property, staff was very helpful with very good English. They went out of their way to make our stay pleasant and inviting. We would definitely stay here again; the location, right next to the Duomo, is outstanding.

It was a little confusing to get to, as all of the streets to the vacationer seem to say access is denied. I wish there had been some form of details given to us, so we wouldn't feel like we were going to be stopped by police.
Once we were there, it was fine.

This hotel is in an excellent area of Florence. We truly enjoyed the experience (even the bells early in the morning!) Very nice, well kept room and bathroom. Loved the view of the Duomo from our window.

The arrival was a little confusing since we weren't sure which floor reception was on (they changed the 'Hotel Bigallo' sticker after we arrived so it was clear.

Our room was lovely, very clean, and spacious. We had a great view of the Duomo from our window. The location of the hotel was excellent and we enjoyed our stay there very much.

The room was very quiet and clean I would not call it spacious.
The remodeling of floors, doors and bathroom was very nice.
The lobby was very nice! Staff was very friendly, gave good restaurant referrals and directions and was very competent.
The outside entrance was disappointing and shabby. I was disappointed that the lift was so small and did not go all the way to out room.

Hotel is hard to find. Main door to Hotel wasn't even on the main street.
Even with lift, we still had to carry out bags up to our room.
Breakfast could have been varied; soft boiled eggs would have been nice.

Wonderfully next to the Duomo. Hotel was modest, but beautifully remodeled. Staff was very pleasant. Our room was nice and quiet.

The hotel was very well located. The room acomodation was excelent. The service was only fair. The final coment is concerned that during the check out the owners push ou to pay cash. After negotiation I hadtopay half and half. Cash and credit card.

Website stated that the hotel can prebook Museum tickets, but the receptionist said the prebooking service is shut on a Saturday, and tried to sell us tickets with a expensive guide. This is not true, you can prebook at any museumm for another museum, it saves hours queueing up. Didnt trust her again.

Quality of rooms very high standard, lovely bathrooms, had room with Duomo view, excellent location, in very heart of Florence.

The address was not in the map, because it is a very tiny path. The room was so small you had to move the bed to open the cupboard.

My room was cold and though I complained about it, it remained cold. It also got very little light, which was rather depressing. I paid for a double room for single use, but still feel I got pushed into a 'single person's room', which tend to be less satisfactory than those for couples.

Shocked to be charged around 7 euros for a brief phone call to Trenitalia.

DO NOT pay for breakfast - an awful affair! I know Italian hotels are not known for great breakfasts, but I've had much, much better.

Excellent location - right by the Duomo, yet completely quiet inside. Very clean and well-furnished.
Everything to the standard promised/expected yet something was missing. Felt a bit 'cold' in atmosphere as well as in my room.

Owners were firm and not very friendly about our eating a bite early to catch a train. Said no one allowed in dining area early, no lights to be turned on, yet no eating in room. We understand reason for limits, but they could have been more helpful or nice about it.

Front rooms have great view of Duomo but extremely noisy all through the night. Our son
and family had trouble sleeping. Our room at the back was much quieter, no view.

We did not need any directions since we took a taxi and the driver was very helpful.
The hotel is extremely central and close to all sites. Everything was up to standard.

Check out was impossible due to power cut in the whole of Italy and so was no fault of the hotel! We eventually sorted things out.

Staff could have been more knowledgable about activities and restaurants in the town.

Night receptionist was not able or autorized to check us out at 5:00 a.m. with a credit card payment. Had to wait a long time for manager to show up for approval, almost lost our 7:00 a.m. flight on account of all of this.
