We arrived in Florence about 2 hours early, and did not have a means of reaching anyone. The phone number we had rang to an answering machine. The representative was at the apartment by the appointed time, but it would have been nice to have had a means of reaching earlier.

Beautiful, spacious, wonderful apartment in an excellent location. By far the best vacation apartment we've rented online. Beautiful views, big rooms, top-notch kitchen (although it could use a cutting board and a corkscrew to be perfect!. Plenty of room for a family, or two couples. Mauro, the porter, was extremely friendly and helpful. Also, the apartment had nice touches like plenty of towels and linens, and an iron and ironing board.

Lorenzo was very accommodating about meeting us early in the morning, as we had a flight to catch. He didn't know that we had paid a deposit, but quickly cleared up the confusions with ap hone call.

Positive: View of the Arno from all rooms. Great kitchen. The apartment was much bigger than we expected from the photos online.
Potentially negative: It wasn't clear that the apartment's entrance was up a flight of stairs, and there was a second long flight to get to the main level of the apartment. A/C is in two rooms only, not entire apartment.

A perfect base of operations for a week in Florence. Spacious, sunny, with beautiful views, and all the comforts of home. Staying at the Palazzo Bombicci Pontelli made us feel like we had a special Florentine experience that not everyone gets. Great neigborhood, with a wine shop run by a very friendly woman right up the street.

there was great confusion in the check-in time which we cleared up through several emails.

for this apartment, the huge delight was the terrace and its view. however, we would have enjoyed it even more with a little more attention to the terrace.
suggestions: a lounge chair and another comfortable chair as well as a small table for drinks would have made a great difference since we wanted to spend great stretches of time relaxing with the view, and the upright chairs and dining table were not comfortable for that. it also seems that the terrace is worth the trouble to put a couple of pots out with some plants in them and maybe a candle holder or torch. i would have been happy to water a few pots and we would have loved some more atmospheric lighting in the evening. such a spectacular terrace deserves more attention.
we were only given one set of keys, which made coming and going for 4 people very difficult. at least two sets should be provided.
a laundry basket would be helpful.
hooks in the bathroom would be helpful, especially since there is only one bathroom for up to six people.

there was one problem: the charge machine did not at first work, so we were caught in an awkward situation where we had to leave for a plane with a taxi waiting and the checkout people having to run next door for help with their charge machine.

i do not know why the view from the terrace and the bedroom are not emphasized. it is spectacular and should be included on the website. we loved the neighborhood, the apartment was remarkably quiet given the vespa traffic below, and the spacious bedroom and privacy of the palazzo meant that we genuinely felt that we had a retreat in the midst of the city.

When I arrived there was no-one around. I had to phone the contact number and ask for someone to come and let us in.

The property would have benefitted greatly from just a few touches. For instance, there was no washing up liquid, so we had to buy our own. Neither were there any cloths to do the washing up with. A general lack of basic facilities marred what was otherwise a very nice property.

The property is quite sparsely equipped so you should bring any creature comforts with you.

A nice property in a great location that could have been many times better if just a little thought had been put into preparing it.

Great place, fantastic location, amazing view! The people who run the place are wonderful. My family had a great time staying there. Would definitely stay there again the next time I am in in Florence.

A magical experience! In an apartment with both character and comfort. With in walking distance to all the major attractions of Florence.

They didn't have the updated voucher with the additional guests stated so the rental was not prepared for the correct amount of guests. This was corrected right away and was no problem.

Just that the kitchen did not contain enough silverware for the guests the apartment holds and there were no soap,towels,garbage bags to clean up with. It wasn't a big problem, the apartment is perfect for me and I plan to rent there agin in the future. Please thank the owners for the use of their beautiful rooms.
