A relaxing way to see Florence. The view from Fiesole is incomparable. Be prepared for a steep hill en route to the hotel and be very careful on the bus between Fiesole and Florence. The tourist guides and hotel staff all warn of pickpockets on this bus, and we saw them in action in Florence when we were coming back to Fiesole. But don't let that dampen your enthusiasm! Fiesole is beautiful and restful after a day of energetic tourism in Florence. Villa Bonelli is clean, airy, very comfortable and welcoming.

This is such a wonderful hotel. The staff is very friendly, helpful, and professional. The rooms are always very clean. I always stay at the Villa Bonelli and have been here almost every year since September 2000. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

An excellent small hotel hidden away in a lovely quiet area close to the centre of Fiseoli. Very friendly hotel who were very informed about travel to Florence by the local bus ( only 1 euro)every 20 minutes.
Also gave us some great recommendations about restaurants too which were excellent

While the room was fine we did find the noise all most unbearable It is not mentioned on the web site that this is a residential area with three dogs outside our window with traditional tile floors you can hear everyone walking into reception and down the stairs. In all everyone was very friendly the room was ok but when on
holidays you might want to sleep late or go to bed early.

If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, room with a view and don't mind the need for a 15 min. bus ride into Florence, then this is your place, although the walls are thin and at times it can be noisy.

Very pleasant stay. Fiesole has a beautiful view, is free of pollution and only a short bus ride from Firenze. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We would return.
A few things you might want to take a look at:
1. Please check the shower door, which readily comes off its track and is hard to re-set.
2. We could hear neighbors arguing - probably adjoining properties rather than other hotel guests. But the walls seemed a little thin.
3. Might be useful to provide laundry services for guests. We were directed to the laundry just down the street. We found the young lady who operated the laundry to be one of the nicest people we met during our entire two weeks in Italy, and were pleased that we had the opportunity to deal directly with her. Nonetheless, we expect that many guests would enjoy the convenience of having the laundry dealt with through the hotel itself. (Perhaps you could contract with her??)
4. It's a long hike up the hill from the bus stop. We are 67 years old but in good shape; had just hiked the Cinque Terre. It was not a problem for us. But other guests might not be up to the climb. Is there a way you could perhaps arrange to pick them up at the bus stop?

We haven't double checked the web site. If you don't have something about the Roman amphitheater and museum, you might add that. Perhaps a summary of Fiesole restaurants.

The way to simultaneously see Florence and have a respite in the country with a spectacular view. Best of both worlds.

P.S. With a little local guidance we found the hotel. What helped was learning that directionally it was near the stadium. Landmarks always help me find places.

The hotel is situated on a hilltop that overlooks Florence. Great views day or night. Just a short bus ride from the main city.

I had called the hotel to make sure the room was on the ground floor. Repeatedly I told them that my parents cannot walk well, and cannot climb stairs. Nobody thought to tell me that the hotel was at the top of a very steep hill, which was virtually impossible to walk up.

The ensuite bathroom was tiny, and had no bidet.
The owner offered to change room, but to a room with only a double bed, instead of two singles. He said there was no one available to split the double into two singles, which was hard to believe.

Fair given the prices of hotels in Fiesole, but for a 3 star hotel it was poor.
