We both thought that the staff showed no genuine love for Customer Service. they seemed just to be going through a routine! ... As above really. ... as above! ... yes - Best to stay in the spring before the staff get Tourist out! sorry!! ... yes

Receptionist very welcoming and staff throughout our stay were very helpful and friendly. ... As a honeymoon couple, we thought there might have been a small gift/welcome such as champagne or a complimentary bowl of fruit just to make our visit a little bit more special. Hotel Brunelleschi were aware of the booking being part of our honeymoon. ... Ideal quiet location and convenient for viewing all the sights in Florence.

The rooms, and especially the junior suites were smaller and in a worse condition than expected. I think the rooms need to be renovated to match modern standards and the expectation of todays customers. The other parts of the hotel were very nice, and the location perfect! ... Perfect location. Disappointing rooms in a fairly bad state.

I enjoyed my stay, but the Hotel is not well sign-posted since it is hidden down a little alleyway. However, once I found the main entrance the rest of my stay was very pleasant and the hotel staff were very welcoming and the facilities were very good. ... As above, although I have to admit that Florence is much noisier than I remembered in the past and I found that the room was not located in a quiet area. But this is a problem with virtually all city hotels I have stayed in. ... They have a lovely terrace right at the top of the hotel which has the most incredible view of Florence. Cannot remember if this is on the web-site. It is also a very central location, barely 2 mins walk to the Cathedral, 5 mins walk to the Ponte Vecchio and 10 mins walk to the railway station. ... Very good location, pleasant staff, all the facilities required including good restaurant on site. Difficult to find on foot unless advised beforehand, but after I had found it I found the 'hidden' entrance quite charming. Its just finding it first that is the problem

The concierge Sergio was remarkably helpful and friendly assisting us throughout our stay. He was very dependable and helped us with restaurant and museum bookings, finding banks for currency conversion and mailing packages home. It seemed like he could fix any problem that arose. This made our stay in Florence much more enjoyable and hassle free. ... We would and will definitely go back to the Hotel Brunelleschi again the next time we visit Florence. ... The location is superb within steps from the Duome in Florence yet on a quiet cul-de-sac which afforded a sense of privacy. ... One of the best hotels we have stayed at.

As I usually carry considerable amount of luggage it was very convenient to have a porter ready as soon as I got out of the taxi. ... Initially I booked a single room but once on the spot I considered too small so I order a double room which was very confortable. Obviously I had to pay extra for the double room. It should be indicated in the website that the single room are much more smaller than the double room. ... Everything went smooth. At the time I left I had a porter who brought my luggage downstairs and the front desk people called a taxi that turned up within few minutes. ... I would mention that at the breakfast room, the tables should be a little bit smaller so, for people by themselves there will always be a table. The last day I had to share a table with another lady that was by herself. Also refer to my coment above regarding the size of the single rooom as this will be benefitial when booking room ... It is very comfortable and warm place. The staff is very polite and competent.

1. I DID NOT HAVE DIRECTIONS TO HOTEL. HOTEL WAS IN A SMALL LITTLE PIAZZA THAT WAS DIFFICULT TO GET DIRECTIONS TO. WE HIRED A TAXI TO LEAD THE WAY. NO PROBLEM.
2. UPON CHECK IN, RECEPTIONIST WAS QUITE SNOBBY AND DID NOT MAKE US FEEL COMFORTABLE. HOWEVER, ALL THE OTHER RECEPTIONISTS AFTER THAT WERE GREAT, VERY FRIENDLY AND VERY HELPFUL. ... WE LOVED THE PROPERTY AND THE LOCATION WAS ABSOLUTELY IDEAL! ... THE LOCATION IS IDEAL! ... BEAUTIFUL HOTEL IN THE HEART OF FLORENCE; CHARMING; UPSCALE; ALL AMENITIES.

The room was facing the street, and, even with the window and curtains closed, could never be called 'quiet'. Even with the noise, however, I very much liked my room and would request the same room again. ... There are no single rooms with a view of the Duomo. ... The accomodations were very comfortable and exactly as I expected. Very conveniently located. The staff was friendly and efficient. The buffet breakfast exceeded my expectations. I will definitely return to the Hotel Brunelleschi and recommend to friends.

Our room overlooked the main street so was quite noisy if you like to sleep with a window open. But it wasn't a major problem. The breakfast menu was predictable and unimaginative but edible, although the coffee was disappointing. The restaurant staff however were charming! ... Excellent place to stay. Comfortable hotel and wonderful staff to make your stay enjoyable.Adjacent to pedestrianised area so away from general traffic.

The map was not very useful because it did not clearly indicate where the street and square was and it was only by looking on another map of Florence that I was able to work out, more or less, the location of the hotel - as the road is very small it is not in fact on most of the tourist maps.
Other than that the hotel was delightful. The room was very comfortable and well designed. Breakfast was good and the service helpful and friendly. ... The fantastic views of rooftop Florence from the terrace ... Very comfortable, elegant hotel, good breakfasts, good service. Very centra and conveniant, helpful staff.

We thought the hotel brunelleschi was a very good experience, overall. The room was perfect for our needs; the children were treated well. The breakfasts were good; but they ran out of some things. The hotel personnel seemed very proud of their hotel, as they should have been. They worked very hard, and made an extra effort to help us.
We loved the decor of the room and the bathroom was huge.
Sincerely,
Shaun Corry ... It was fairly noisy at night, but that was due to others outside of the hotels control. ... Very lovely.

No, everyone was helpful. ... The only thing that I would improve, is that turn down at night was not done. So, no fresh towels were left. And when asked, nothing was done. ... No. ... Very central, historical, friendly, clean.

The included daily breakfast was less than the standard we had expected from this hotel. You also made arrangements for our continued stay Jan 4-20 at hotel Bonvecciati in Venice. This hotel was far superior for about the same cost as the Brunelleschi. Our compliments to Concierge Mr. Sergio at the Brunelleschi for his service and helpfulness.

a twin room had been booked and confirmed on the reservation confirmation, however a double room had been reserved - this had to be corrected and another room provided after seeing the first room ... i am sure many guests would agree that the breakfast arrangements were not well organised as several people had to wait for tables, and this was the case on all 7 days that i stayed ... yes i would describe it

The hotel is really a 3 star not 4 but it does have a great location. Although if you are staying in old Florence, all locations are good as the area of interest is so relatively small. ... Other than a spacious room, not good value for the money (300E/day).
