My stay was perfect. My daughter has also stayed there on two separate occasions and her stays have always been perfect. ... They've always been wonderful (during three different stays over the past few years). ... Quick and convenient... but, we didn't want to leave. ... The staff are incredibly kind and always make you feel at home. ... It is beautiful, yet quaint. It's in an ideal location, and the rooms are all absolutely gorgeous. The woman that works during the day is extrmemely nice and welcoming. The man who works at night is also extremely nice and always very helpful. Overall, it is the perfect place to stay in Firenze.

This is a family run business and the proprietors give you a sense that you are staying in their home, not a hotel. Even arriving very late in the evening/following morning, someone was waiting upon our return. No Best Western or Hilton atmosphere here; a wonderful change from the ordinary. ... Like staying at the home of a family member or close friend. The words 'quaint' and 'charming' are often over used, but at the Burchianti they truly apply.
Need to mention also the ease, simplicity and accuracy of booking through Florenceby.com. Also, booked our hotel in Rome on Romeby.com--also a great experience. Having used you this trip, I would not think of booking an Italian vacation without first going to your site. As a professional who since the mid-ninties has worked closely with on-line retailers, directories and travel sites, I can say unequivocally Worldby.com is far and away among the best. Keep up the good work and hope to see you expand into other cities/countries soon.

Our room was completely soundproof when the windows were closed and it was possible to make the room completely dark as well with the shutters. Our only issue was with the air conditioning. It did not cool but rather blew what felt like outside air. But we're from Texas so we're admittedly spoiled when it comes to air conditioning! ... When we left, we felt we were leaving friends. We will come back! ... The room, with its soaring ceilings, frescoes, tile floor and fine decor was stunning and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout. Except for the inadequate air conditioning in our room, the Hotel provided a wonderful, convenient respite in beautiful, refined surroundings. ... Our experience with Hotel Burchianti was like staying with good friends in their best guestroom! We hope to go back.

I cannot answer question 1, because our car is equipped with a navigator. It is unusual that a hotel is only on the first floor. Therefore we were several times in front of the hotel, but didn't realize it. The plate and the doorbell of the hotel are not big enough and not focusing attention sufficiently.
... The windows are not enough sound deadening and should be replaced by better ones.
The rooms with the frescos are sensational. Also the breakfast room is very nice.
I also would like to make a compliment to Florenceby.com for the high professionalism and the quality of your website and service. This Customer Satisfaction Survey is proof enough for this! ... Staff was very helpfull to bring our lugage to the garage. ... The plate and the doorbell of the hotel are not big enough and not focusing attention sufficiently.
... I would recommend this hotel to every friend, because everything is OK and the position right in the heart of the town is very handy.

The street numbers posted on buildings in the area are, seemingly, conflicting. ... The special character of this pensione is not, perhaps, best described in words. Rather it can be known only in the experience of visiting. The owner is a special lady. Each personal greeting as I passed through the reception area(a large attractively-furnished salon)made the experience akin to visiting a friend. Each need or request was gratiously and promptly addressed. I have spent two months in Europe over the last two years (pleasure only). The Burchianti was the highlight of my travel lodging. ... Wonderful personal service. Modern accomodations with old-world charm.
... If you need to change the timing of your visit to Florence it is worth it to reside at the Burchianti.Enough said?

Yes, but the airconditioneer did not work as expected (too small regarding the size of the room). So we were obkliged to open the windows and so it was noisy. ... see above regarding the cooling system.
The last day, it was not possible to takre the breakfast at the hotel as exopected. So we got a voucher to go to a bar, but finally the breakfast was as good as the one we took at the hotel the previous days... ... The issue is that when we arrived, they said that it was not possible to pay by Credit card (on the web site I understood that it was OK). So we went to the cash machine to got a lot of money (not save). Then, the day before leaving finally they said that it is possible to pay by card (not them but another one...) ... good

Not easy to identify hotel at dusk. Entrance was behind locked gate without obvious means of contacting reception. ... Room was dark at all times and overlooked from outside. Internal lighting was less than adequate. TV facility was poor. ... Upper floor is probably lighter, with better outlook than lower floor. Rooms are less romantic than in photographs. ... Overpriced

The Hotel was wonderful. The room so much better than expected. I will recommend this hotel to anyone I know wanting to stay in Florence. Considering the central location, it was very quiet. ... A Beautiful Hotel, brilliant rooms, wonderful staff & very nicly located in the centre of Florence.

The hotel was spacious and turned out to be a recently renovated (little) palace. It was rather difficult to find, because it is more like a standard living appartment from the outside. There is only a small sign next to a doorbell, which provides the entrance to the hotel on the 1st floor. The advantage is that there is absolutely no atmosphere of mass-tourism in the hotel. ... The owners were very friendly and helpful.
The only disadvantages were that : 1. no credit cards were accepted. 2. the room was on the street-side with a lot of noise in the mornings. ... It was a nice hotel, but we also thought it was very expensive. It turns out that all hotels in Florence are expensive. ... I am not sure if the fact of 'no credit cards accepted' is mentioned on the web site. ... Good, but expensive.

We were checked in immediately upon our arrival...a welcome site for two very weary travelers! ... The staff was very warm and always at our service. ... Again, the staff were ready for our check out and arranged for a taxi to arrive within minutes of the call so that we could make the train we were to catch. ... Absolutely enchanting...unlike any other hotel we have visited!

although being disabled i found the hotel very comfortable. Our only criticism was that breakfast was not available at the hotel, but required a short walk across a busy road.(not stated when booked) ... i had the misfortune of losing my camera - i lost my balance and it fell into the Arno when visiting the Ponte Vecchio - and the hotel staff where very helpful in reporting this by telephone to the police for me as they did not speak english. ... only that breakfast is not served at the hotel but at a cafe a short walk away. ... you could not fault the location of the hotel, or its decorative order - if you wish to visit florence with all its splendour this is a great place to stay.

It is a lovely quiet, historic hotel with frescos in a very convenient and safe location. Room was large, bathroom lovely and it was very comfortable and fresh.
The Night Manager is a wonderful man with interesting tales to tell. ... I thought they accepted credit cards but on arrival it was very clear they did not. I think they should - it was awkward having to go to the cash machine three times over three days to withdraw the correct cash.
They don't do breakfasts at the moment, which is not a problem at all in Florence but it would be nice if the booking is absolutely clear about this. ... I booked at short notice. ... I have my own travel club assistant. ... Credit card information as stated above.
That breakfast is not available, as stated above. Not a problem with the café so easy in Italy but this needs to be known and some guests prefer to have hotel breakfasts. It was OK for me but I am adventurous! ... Very efficient. Excellent photo gallery and maps to identify all the things that are really important - location, rooms and style. ... One of the two truly historic little pensiones in Florence with original wall and ceiling frescos. Very quiet, cool and comfortable. Not for entertaining or sitting around in but a great escape from the busy streets after a long day sightseeing. More suitable to 30+ age group and lovely for couples. Safe for singles - but maybe a little too quiet for some. Superb location for Duomo, train station and all major sights within easy walking distance. Good cafés and restaurants very close by and very safe to walk out at night - even as a single woman alone.

In an effort to be pleasing, the owner offered us a suite with kitchenette, but the smell of moth balls (napthaline) was overwhelming.
Thankfully, we were relocated to a beautiful room. ... Street is busy, close to the train station and a car repair shop. Not all rooms have baths or air conditionning. ... In the end, we were lucky enough to get one of the rooms featured on the web site. ... I would recommend it, making it clear that they should request room 1, it doesn't have a bath and street noise is high even through the night. Good central location, close to the Duomo.

The rooms felt very spacious, although there was no view. French entry doors face a center courtyard instead. The decor was understated and elegant. Of the 7 hotels I stayed in during my trip, it was the nicest in it's price range...The only comment is that it's really an upscale B&B rather than a hotel. ... They don't speak english, so there's slightly more drama, and it sucks that they don't take credit cards. ... An excellent value if you're not hung up on having windows and a view.

There was a locked gate on the outside of the premises and no way to get into the hotel (which was on the 2nd and 3rd level). we knocked on a door, which was outside the gate, and luckily, they were guests staying at the same hotel as us and they let us use their key to enter the gate so that we could check in. ... The room was fabulous (all though a little noisy since it was on a busy street). There was no communication as to when breakfast was served so we missed it the first morning (we asked the second day). The hotel staff was very friendly and hospitable. ... Wonderful, quaint hotel with fabulous frescoes (so Italy). A little unorganized overall because of the entrance to the hotel and miscommunication (translating between english and italian). I would recommend it but would also give them lots of information as to what to expect and what they should know in advance (might not be communicated).
