I was impressed at the promt and polite service I received. I didn't have to worry about my luggage, the Porter took care of everything. It was great

Unfortunately there was no porter,but there was a fast and accomodating lift. We could have waited for the bellman,but wanted our bags--no problem!

I received a room that had a musty odor. I did not complain since I was only there two nights. The odor must have been from the shower, the water flowed out and out the bathroom door onto the rug. Not a great shower experience.

I had issues with the shower, you could not leave the water on because it flowed our the bathroom door and onto the rug, which caused a soggy rug problem and a musty odor if you left the window closes

They let me keep my bags there the whole day, checkout was at 11AM which was early since my train did not leave for Venice until 6:30PM, it would have been nice to have a late checkout.

The breakfast was better than I expected. There was a full array of foods, cereals, breads, eggs, meats. It was terrific and the service was excellent as well as included in the price of the room.

It was nice, no frills, right in the heart of everything, great location. Bathroom only has a shower. I was in a superior room that was large with a great bathroom, only negative was the shower, it was not enclosed and the water went all over the bathroom floor as well as into the room and onto the rug.

Worse re the accommodations - thevoucher said airconditioning included. When we arrived we found the rooms hot and were forced to open the windows. Our rooms were located directly above Calzaiuoli and were therefore extremely noisy. We requested for the airconditioning but we were told there was none. The airconditoning unit was blowing out room temp air and therefore was not sufficient to cool the room.

We loved our stay at Hotel Calzaiuoli. The rooms were bigger and more comfortable than we expected. The bathrooms a lttle smaller and not as new as the website made it appear.
I would recommend this Hotel to all my friends, but i would warn them about the lack of airconditioning and therefore the very noisy rooms..it may not be worth it to them.

The website says airconditioning which is misleading. They did not turn it on (if they had one) and left the air from the unit at room temp. which is not sufficient.

GREAT location, rooms are spacious, beds are comfortable. Bathrooms a bit small and not updated (marble showers w/ no light.. a bit dark). Breakfast room is nce and breakfast is sufficient. Service is adequate. However, if the weather is hot, the rooms have no airconditioning w/c forces you to open the windows. Once the windows are open, the noise can be intolerable as it is noisy until 1- 2am every night.

The Buffet Breakfast was very nice, more than sufficient and the staff was very accommodating.
The receptionists were very helpful in giving directions, finding train schedule information and assisting in trying to make reservations at restaurants for us.
We were very pleased with our stay there and send kudos to the cleaning staff, porter and reception desk.

I did extensive reserch before booking our hotel online, and now i can say i made the right choice! We liked hotel very much, the room was very clean, nicely decorated, the washroom's beautiful (bright with windows), staff was very nice, breakfest room is great! Location is exellentent - so close to everthing within walking destance, we even though it was better then 5star hotel in ROme that we stayed at a night before...definetly recommend to anyone!

Very friendly, and excellent value: a large,
beautiful, very comfortable room, with a
desk with a telephone connection above it,
as well as an electric outlet, making a
computer connection easy and convenient.
The bathroom was also big and comfortable,
with an excellent shower. The room was very
quiet. The breakfast coffee was excellent
and plentiful (a large jug of very strong
coffee - rare in Italy at breakfast, when
mostly weak 'American' coffee is served -
with another large jug of frothy hot milk).
The location is extremely central and
convenient. I will definitely come back
here next time I go to Florence. The
staff at reception were charming and very
helpful.

Took a Taxi, so didn't pay attention to directions. Two numbering system of addresses in Florence is confusing to visitors.

Although getting to the hotel by auto was difficult, the hotel was a quiet oasis on a very busy street. The hotel was very clean, the staff were very helpful and we will stay there again, when we go back to Florence.

The hotel was exceptional. The location was ideal and the people treated us very well. I really appreciated the help from the baggage handler who brought me ice on several occasion to put on my sprained ankle.

I have stayed there 2 time before. I was pleased to see the upgrades to the hotel. I borught friends with me and it was reasuring that the hotel lived up to my expectations.

With the windows open, the street below was a bit noisy. Easy solution, close the window. But how can you close the window when someone is playing the saxophone beneath you? It was great a great experience.

If any mention is made about the breakfast, I certainly would not say anything more than breakfast is included. Of all the places we stayed during our trip to Italy, the breakfast at this hotel was at the bottom of the list. Very ordinary and very little to offer in the way of variety. Disappointing to be honest.
