Max was extremely charming & welcoming, even after carrying our suitcases up 4 flights of stairs !!

The only negative comment i can make about my stay is that the accomodation is situated on a particularly noisy road. Our room had two windows , so infact we were at a junction on 2 roads. Scooters particularly (& there are lots of them in Florence), make much noise !!

The shower holder in the bathroom was broken, which meant the shower had to be hand held. This was only a slight inconvenience, and does not change the high regard we have for the hotel.

A Casa di Dante is a fine hotel with a great atmosphere. The room we were in was spacious and very clean. The staff were very helpful and courteous.
The hotel was within easy walking distance to the city centre.
We also stayed at A Casa di Dante last year, and if we return to Florence we would certainly consider staying there again.

we arrived during the short time that the manager had stepped out, but we just went exploring, left out bags, and dealt with it later- it worked out fine

The manager wasn't there, but the poor man was running around so busy!

No air conditioning; could not pay by credit cards, so we had to run to the bank and come back. Very annoying!

Our room was very cute. Potential guests should know that difficult steps may be involved. The manager did help us with our bags, though.

Rustic, but very cute and well decorated. Great breeze from the open windows. Not so great breakfast.

A Casa Di Dante was one of the best hotels/B&Bs that we have ever stayed at. It was great to not be in the 'tourist' centre of florence, and it was a wonderful place to return to in the evening. The Suite Paradiso was truly wonderful.

I would strongly recommend it, we feel so lucky to have found somewhere so reasonably priced, so comfortable, and so beautiful in a busy city like Florence. It was a fantastic place to stay.

I think you should warn people that the breakfast was very basic, so you would probably have to still get your own.

A lovely place - we had a large, quiet, air conditioned room, with spacious, newly re-tiled, bathroom ensuite. Room was clean and the owner was very friendly, despite not having great English.

We took the TrenOk train and so arrived very late and not in the center at all. When we called to say we were lost everyone was very polite and the waited up for us.

We also had trouble getting the key to lock in the door and the guys working there could not have been nicer about it. They let us in everytime we were stuck outside and gave us a little lesson on the door. Overall it was wonderful, and it was an easy walk to the center. I would stay there again.

Curteous, waited up late for me.

Problem with my credit card, on their end. Ended up having to use cash.

Breakfast is small. Close to the main sights, but still a bit far from most restaurants. Neighboring restaurant pretty good, but adds hidden service charge. Pretty dark at night, and a bit dodgy closer to rail line after dark. Rooms up several flights of stairs, so if you have a disibility or small children, a bit of a hassle.

Very helpful owner. Sparse but pleasant and quiet rooms. Not so good for families with children. Rooms up several flights of stairs. A bit outside the 'action' of the city, but not hard to get to. Have to go a ways to find restaurants, but a good supermarket in the immediate vicinity.

The paradise suite is indeed paradise however the airconditioning didn't really work so this could be a real problem in the middle of summer. The restaurant a few doors down, owned by the same people, was excellent.
Its a bit of a walk into the centre, but doable.

Internet was not in the room (it said 'there is an internet access') but in internet caffee downstairs - the drawback was that I needed to spend day time sitting in the caffee, instead of working during evenings/early mornings from my room.
Another drawback - the room was EXTREMELY noisy, almost impossible to sleep.

The italian bus services where confusing and the purchasing of tickets, more information could be provided. Also the directions where unclear where on the square the accomodation was considering how large and busy it is and on arrival there was nobody around or contact details and we had to ask a local resturant if they new where the owner was. Very frustrating after such a long journey

The accomodation was clean and tidy. However we had not been told about the very busy road and the noise throughout the night, this disturbed our sleep and effected our enjoyment of the stay. We would not recommend the accomodation to others due to the noise.

The biulding is situated at one of the main streetes and each morning we were waked up by nois. Very noisy.
The towels were not provided at all.
It wasn't mentioned on the website that they don't have any room to serve the breakfast. The breakfast cinsisted of some poor quality cold drink and very bad croissants, but the capuchino was really good, as everywhere in Italy.

It was mentioned on your site that it's gonna take only 10 min to get to the Cathedral etc., but actually it about 30min !!!

property is north of the center of town making it less of a tourist area. knowledge of the bus system would be very helpful in getting to and from the tourist sights.

Hôtel très agréable et se trouvant relativement proche du centre ville.
Le seul inconvénient est la proximité de l'avenue qui est très bruyante en raison de la forte circulation de voitures.
L'accueil a été vraiment très sympathique et chaleureux !

the directions could be better (i.e.: take bus # 7 and get off at the 'X' stop after leaving the train station. It is a little disorienting, particularly if the traveler speaks little or no Italian. But, we found it in the end, thanks to a helpful bus driver.

I didn't care for having the maid/management turn off the air conditioning during the day when I was gone. I had turned it down, but because of the height of the ceilings and the extreme heat, it took quite awhile for the room to cool upon my return. Also, our towels were never changed. But, the owner was very nice and quite helpful. I would stay there again.

The owner of the B&B was waiting for us on the street. However, if he did not wait it would have been impossible to find the place.

The room was clean ans spacious, but the sleeping arrangments for our two daughters were not very comfortable (but not impossible).
We were surprised to find out that there is no room for breakfast. Coffee and croisants were served in our room. Service was always very prompt and polite.
