 The Black and White Room:
Next to the Library and the Oriental, this room is in all shades from black to white. It has its original Florentine tile floor both in the room and in the bathroom, and a 1970's look. The bath tub is in the room, separate from the bathroom. There also is a zebra armchair to sit and read your paper. The 2 windows look on to Via della Scala. The Black and White Room has: king size bed, TV with satellite channels, en-suite bathroom with tub, air-conditioning, wi-fi Internet access, tea & coffee-making facilities.
The Drawing Room:
This is the biggest room in the house, about 50 sqm, with black walls and ancient Venetian mosaic marble floors. There are 3 big windows looking onto Via della Scala, draped in water green pure silk taffeta. The room has twin queen size beds and pieces of old Chinese furniture. There is also a sitting room with a big green velvet couch that can be made in to an extra bed. The ensuite bathroom also has the same mosaic floors and a big shower. The Drawing room has: 2 queen size beds, LCD TV 30'' with satellite channels, en-suite bathroom with shower, air-conditioning, tea & coffee making facilities, Wi-Fi Internet. |
 The Camel Room (Smoking):
This is the first room you find at the top of the black stone staircase and the only room where guests may smoke. The room looks onto the patio, is coloured in bright avocado green, has modern striped curtains and a lovely madras checked divan, that can become an extra bed. It has a cast-iron fireplace decorated to look like marble, also its en-suite bathroom walls are decorated to look like marble. It is a very quiet and relaxing room, as it looks onto our patio and on some magnificent roofs of the Santa Maria Novella basilica complex. The Camel Room has: king size bed (that can become twin), TV with satellite channels, en-suite bathroom with shower opening on a small terrace, fireplace, air-conditioning, wi-fi Internet access, tea and coffee-making facilities.
The Fireplace Room:
The accommodation has 2 big windows looking onto Via della Scala, with pure silk taffeta curtains in golden yellow, all lined in silk. It is a big room in different shades of white, golden yellow and beige with the original parquet floor and a large white marble fireplace. There is a modern bed-head in transparent Perspex. The only contrasting colour is a black velvet sofa that can be converted into an extra bed. This room has an en-suite bathroom with another fireplace and a big central bathtub on 4 legs. It also has a shower and a walk-in closet. The Fireplace room has: "emperor" size bed that can become a twin, en-suite bathroom with tub and enormous shower, satellite TV , LCD screen in the bathroom over the fireplace, 2 fireplaces (1 in marble, the other in ceramic), walk-in closet, wi-fi Internet access, air-conditioning, tea and coffee-making facilities. |
 The Game Room:
On the second floor, this room is also intended for guests that travel with their dog. It is also perfect for 2 parents travelling with their child (see *Family Combi Fare below). It is a big room with 2 big windows and a large floor to ceiling French window that leads you onto your large private terrace, where you can have breakfast in the morning or read in the afternoon. The room is all dark blue with beige coloured fabrics. It also has a white marble fireplace and a big couch that can become an extra bed. On request you can have one or two beds (1 external) for your pet. The Game Room has: king size bed (can become 2 twin beds), 30'' Sharp LCD television with satellite channels, en-suite bathroom with shower, fireplace, air-conditioning, wi-fi Internet access, beds for small dog on request (internal and external),tea & coffee-making facilities. |
 The Hidden Room:
This small, cosy, sensual red room is just off the sitting room, next to the entrance. It has a gigantic capitonné bed-head that takes up all the wall. In the bedroom there is a large sunken bathtub and a shower in a glass box. The accommodation is very quiet as it looks on to our patio. The Hidden Room has: queen size bed, small Sharp LCD television with satellite channels, en-suite bathroom, with shower and tub inside the room (no bidet), air-conditioning, wi-fi Internet access,tea and coffee-making facilities.
The Library Room:
This room, looking on to Via della Scala, is next to the Oriental Room and is a real library, full of books and belongings from the owner's parents. The accommodation has kept it's original floor in "Graniglia Veneziana" and the 4 walls are full of all kinds of books for you to enjoy looking at or read sitting at the big 19th century French desk at the bottom of the bed. There is a lovely couch in green casentino wool that can become an extra bed. The small bathroom is covered in mirrors and old Florentine tiles. The Library room has: king size bed, TV with statellite channels, en-suite bathroom with shower (no bidet), air-conditioning, wi-fi Internet access, tea & coffee-making facilities. |
 The Oriental Room:
This accommodation is part of 3 rooms that can be given all en-suite, becoming an apartment if taken by a group of friends. Enter this particular room by walking down the long corridor. The Oriental room is full of things collected by the owners during their travels in the Orient. The bed has brass posters and can become twin. The floor is in black wood, making it very nice to walk on barefoot. It has an unusual fireplace in metal and brass, a walk-in closet. The very pretty bathroom has a gigantic lacquer red shower. The room looks onto Via della Scala and also on the roofs of Florence. The Oriental Room has: emperor size bed (can become 2 twin beds), 20'' Sharp LCD television with satellite channels, en-suite bathroom with large shower, fireplace, air-conditioning, wi-fi Internet access, tea & coffee-making facilities.
The Play Room:
This is a room for parents who travel with their children (max 2 children and 1 baby - see Family Combi Fare* below), as it can be given en-suite with the soundproof sitting room. This sitting room has a special wall for free climbing (at your own risk), an old ber-iron cot turned into a small couch. The parent's room looks onto Via della Scala and is in shades of bright yellow with stencils on the wall, floral curtains, and a striped beige and green bed cover. The sitting-room is also in bright yellow with stencils. The Play Room has: queen size bed, TV with satellite channels, Walt Disney video library, en-suite bathroom with tub, air-conditioning, wi-fi Internet access, tea & coffee-making facilities. If you also take the connecting sitting room: 2 single beds,air-conditioning, TV with satellite channels, free-climbing wall. |
 The Twin Room (left side):
This a small, elegant and cosy room, decorated with pearl grey wood panelling, original antique wood beamed ceiling, and heavy dark red velvet curtains. The accommodation is very quiet, as it looks onto our patio and has an en-suite bathroom with shower. The Twin Room has: queen size bed, small Sharp LCD television with satellite channels, en-suite bathroom with shower, air-conditioning, wi-fi Internet access, tea & coffee-making facilities.
The Twin Room (right side):
This room is exactly like the opposite Twin Room, only larger. It has a small terrace where 2 can sit and have breakfast, while looking onto our patio and Santa Maria Novella's roof. The room also has an original frescoed wooden ceiling and an en-suite bathroom with shower. The Twin Room right side has queen size bed, small Sharp LCD television with satellite channels, en-suite bathroom with shower, air-conditioning, wi-fi Internet access, tea & coffee-making facilities.
Some of our rooms in Rome have smaller beds. In order to ensure a comfortable stay please let us know in advance if larger beds are needed so we can advise you accordingly. If they are not warned upon booking they might no have an alternative room to give your clients, and they will be obliged to debit a full amount for your clients stay and transfer them to another hotel at your/his own expense. |
