Clear and straight forward. In addition, detailed maps, local attractions, etc. are all easily accesable on the sight. ... The staff agreed to a late arrival which was most appreciated. ... Cimatori was a true gem. Many B&B's are disapointing to me given my extremely high expections for accomadations, Cimatori easily compares to a 3 or 4 star hotel. Domenico is a resourceful as the concierge at the Savoy which I have often stayed at. I chose to find an out of the way, but convenient place to stay and was pleasantly suprised by this establishment. ... Quick and easy. In addition, Domenico arranged another hotel for me in Rome. ... I believe the website says that there are TV's in the room, however there are. You should mention that the room is cleaned daily. ... It was honest and easy to use. ... Cimatori was a true gem. Domenico, the propreitor, is as resourceful as the concierge at the Savoy which I have often stayed at. A warm welcome and advice offered on restaurants and sight seeing which was welcome. ... We really enjoyed our stay at Cimatori. The location is exceptional, right in the middle of everything and yet reasonably quiet for Florence.

Our flight came in at around 9AM, we were able to check in before 1PM (which is regular check in time) and someone was there to help us up the stairs with our suitcases.

There were lots of stairs and no elevator (which we were expecting anyway)!! Though on our arrival Domenico carried our cases up for us (all three of us). ... Linda was very helpful and gave us advice about getting around (ie buses to Fiesole). She also recommended a few restaurants to us that we would never have found just wandering around on our own. ... The Guest House is in the same building as private apartments. The people in the apartment above us were very noisy ALL NIGHT. We were woken up by them at one point and it was 4.00am!! ... The Cimatori is in an excellent location in the middle of the historical centre and the views from the roof are stunning! (We were allowed up with supervision!)
Would definitely stay there again.

The receptionist, Sig. Domenico was extremely pleasant and helpful, especially when I fell ill on our final day. On that occasion he was extremely supportive and kind. He made our stay in Florence a great experience. ... The fact that it is almost exactly halfway between The Dumo and the Signoria, right in the heart of the old city. ... Cimatori Guesthouse is extremely comfortable, private yet central. The reception is really kind and caring, more than one expects normally from a B&B. The rooms are of top quality, and the price includes excellent air conditioning and a fine breakfast!

I had a friend refer me to the guesthouse and the place was nice clean and above all located in an excellent area. The best part was Domenico, the owner, who was very nice, friendly, helpful and gracious.

Bathrooms are very neatly maintained, but extremely tiny, like a little closet. And the shower cubicle can barely hold one person without even any room to turn around. Bathing soap or other such amenities are not provided, although towels are changed everyday. ... It gives the feeling of staying in a room in a friend's apartment on the 3rd floor of a building without an elevator. Bedrooms are rather large and spacious, sound-proof [as the window opens onto a popular side-street of Florence], but nothing fancy; bathrooms extremely tiny. The dining room is also rather small. Place seems a little expensive for the condition of its rooms, compared to the extra conveniences of a hotel such as a 24-hr attendant, elevator, perhaps room service, soaps,etc..
Having the use of a/c in the bedroom was convenient; the manager is eager and helpful about things to see and restaurants to eat at, makes good cappucino in the morning.

I booked 2 places using your site (one in Florence and one in Rome) and was so impressed with both. I would highly recommend your site to anyone! ... Very simple and any time I had a question, I received a response from Dominico the same day. ... Dominico was there to greet us and also took the time to go over a city map with us (that he gave us) and restaurant and bar recommendations. ... Cimatori Guest House was perfect!! Dominico was a wonderful host and the place was gorgeous. Additionally, it was right in the heart of Florence--no more than a 5 minute walk to most of the sites. I would recommend it and your site to anyone looking for places to stay in Italy. Thanks!! ... The location is a definite bonus. About 2 blocks from the Duomo. And, it was immaculate--someone came to clean the room everyday. You also might want to mention that there is no curfew (I know some b&b's have one) and that you are given keys to the whole place upon arrival. I can't say enough good things about this wonderful place! ... It was easy and I was very impressed with both places I stayed. ... Perfect!

The guy waited for us and was very friendly and polite. ... The pictures on the website was obviously of the superior room and as we booked a standard room the room did not look exactly like the picture. The room was very spacious and very nicely decarated. The bathroom was VERY nice. It looked very new, was very clean and had a massage shower!!!All our accomadation in Italy was in the same price range and thsi was by far the best!! Very good value for money!!! ... Electric bus A stops right in front of the door. ... It is a very nice B&B, with very friendly and helpful staff. Its is great value for money and very nice!!It is in a pedestrianized zone and close to everything. A electric bus stops right in front of the door. The rooms are very spascious. I would recomend it to anybody who wants to visit to Florance!!

It was fine, except that we weren't prepared for the number of stairs from the entrance of the building up to the B&B. We forgot that in Europe, the 2nd floor is our 3rd floor, and with 20 foot ceilings, that made for a lot of climbing. However, at least at check-in (though not at check out) our host helped us up the stairs with our luggage. ... Linda and Domenico (the owners) were great - they helped us out with museum reservations, etc. Breakfast was fine, but if you can pass a word on to them, they need to get a toaster or a toaster oven to heat up the bread and rolls!
We were very happy to find that the air conditioning did in fact work in all the rooms, and you just cannot beat the location. I was very happy with my experience. ... On the positive side, great location, and we were very happy to find out that, despite being so close to several churches, restuarants, etc. including Il Duomo, that when we closed the windows, we had absolute quiet! On the negative, Lots of steep stairs - people need to be informed of this. We had been looking at other B&Bs through FlorenceBy, but passed on them because they stated they had no elevator. It was our only unpleasant surprise. It's two steep flights to get to the front door, and in the summer, another two steep flights to get to the breakfast room (this is not an issue in non-summer months, as they do breakfast on the same floor Sept - May). ... Friendly, comfortable, clean, extremely well-located, and honest. But be prepared for those stairs!

We were unavoidably later than expected, but Domenico was still there to greet us. ... Couldn't have wished for better accommodation. We particularly liked (apart form the excellent air conditioning!) the communal breakfast table as this encouraged conversation between the guests. ... An ideal base for a visit to Florence with everything needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. A very friendly place to stay.

Our visit was delightful and relaxed. Dominico was a great host-and proud of his facilities. A small suggestion: ceiling fans. The window provided little circulation, and street noise could be heard. NO big deal. Thank you for a great stay. ... Very attractive web site, and honest. ... Large, comfortable family room, with comfortable community/breakfast room. I took advantage of the bookshelf.

The driving in Florence is very difficult; even more than we expected. It took almost 2 hours to find the guest house. My suggestion would be to stop at the train station and hire a taxi to lead you in. ... The Cimatori is a great place. Domenico is fabulous. I can't possibly say how much we enjoyed our stay there. ... see above

Our host, over our protests, helped carry our bags up 2 floors. He also graciously provided us with information about local restaurants, and had material about events and activitiesd laid out in the dining area. ... We were able to pay our bill to day before, and our host arranged for a taxi to pick us up very early the next morning. ... There is a safe deposit box in the room, which was very convenient. The room was large, the bed comfortable, and the pillows markedly better than those available in other places we stayed. We would have liked to open the window wider, in order to have more fresh air. ... An excellent value for the money. It is convenient, the inner room we stayed in was quiet. The breakfast may not have been fancy, but the room and bed compared favorably in size and comfort to the more up-scale places we in. Our host was personable, helpful and informative. He was also available by cell phone after hours, if necessary.

Domenico and Valerie were very helpful with maps, directions, etc. ... Valerie and Domenico made my stay very enjoyable and were available at any time to answer questions and share information about Florence and surrounding areas. ... Domenico called a cab ahead of time for me since he or Valerie would not be there went I left in the morning. ... I would tell a friend that Cimatori was a perfect location in Florence, probably about the best location, and that the staff was friendly and helpful. I will stay there again if I go back to Florence.

I've stayed in two prooperties on your website, one in Rome and this one in Florence and I honestly couldn't fault either of them. They've been fantastic and I know several people who use yolur website and whenever possible I pass the website to friends and colleagues. ... Well done, it's a great site and i like the idea that you receive several offers from similar properties. ... I didsn't realise it was avalable until last minute, when I had made plans. ... same as above ... NOt sure what the difference was between a superior room which was stated on our booking and a standard room. ... Domenico at the Guest House was very helpful also. ... It's an excellent location and there's a great restaurant across form the front door. ... As stated above it is an excellent site where you can rely on what you see as what you get, and better. ... Excellent, just as outlined on the website. And an authentic little guest house in Florence.

The owner had warned us not to arrive by car but to arrive by train instead. I wish we had followed his advice! However, our car rental plans were in place already. ... We were provided larger accommodations than expected which worked out well as we were traveling with 2 teenagers. The kitchenette was a bonus although we did not use it to the fullest extent. The only negative was being across from a restaurant that was open late. Since the guest house was not air-conditioned throughout, there was some 'street noise'. ... It was almost like home being that it was similar to an efficiency appartment. It was simple but tastefully decorated and very spacious. The location was ideal.

Great location. Closer to everything than I had thought. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The many flights of stairs dismayed us, however we knew that this would be the case. ... We found it frustrating that we weren't permitted to eat or drink as we were upstairs from the main guesthouse. The kitchen for that section was closed. ... Linda, Domenica and Jess were very helpful and 'accommodating' especially when it came to checking out as we had to leave our bags there in reception until about 1pm ... Domenica was very gracious and assisted us with museum bookings as well as providing useful advice. He's a Florentine Treasure! ... A lovely roomy apartment right in the main historical centre.

Owner was helpful in directing me to parking for the car, then carried bag up two flights of stairs. ... Web site indicated there was a roof terrace with great view of Florence. It failed to mention that it is not allowing guests to go there, due to insurance issues. ... Owner (Dominick) carried both large bags down two flights of stairs. ... Guest House should not mention roof terrace as long as it's inaccessible to guests. ... Very good value, great location. Owner is very helpful and charming.

The only thing that wasn't spelled out properly on the website that it was located in a much larger older building that housed other residential apartments. While it wasn't a problem, it surprised us a bit.. And there was no elevator up to the guest house, only several sets of staircases, so it was a bit of an ordeal getting up all of our luggage. They should also look at getting special parking rates for guests -- we had to pay 28 Euro for less than 24 hours of parking at a lot a couple of blocks away... ... It was a clean, nice place, but it still is difficult to pay 120 Euro for a room, which translates into almost 200 Canadian dollars.
