Italians seem to assume everybody carries a cellphone and they want you to call so they can come to the property to let you in. My cellphone doesn't work in Europe and I was lucky to find someone who was willing to make the call for me. After that we had to wait 10 minutes for someone to show up. ... The first night was very cold but they agreed to switch on the heating the next night. Apparently the government doesn't allow people to switch on the heating until November 1. ... They let us keep our bags in another room which was nice so we could spend a little more time in Florence. Please note according to policy they expect you to check out by 10:00 AM. ... See comment above about checking in. THere is basically no receptionist. They did ask us to let them know when we would arrive but we were not on a set schedule and had no idea about train schedules etc... Plus we did not carry a phone that worked in Europe. ... A nice place, friendly helpful owners, fairly conveniently located to see the sites of Florence.

A wonderful place to stay and the receptionist was extremely polite and helpful. I can't begin to tell you how pleased I have been with my experiences with WorldBy.com and FlorenceBy.com. A fantastic travel experience. Thank you. ... This room was warm and relaxing. I thought the CD and candles included with the room was a beautiful touch.
