You should have a car to get up and down the hill. It's 900m down hill, which is no problem, but it's 900m back up a very steep grade. They will ofter to take you up and down but you really feel like you are imposing on them, so you walk and at night it is one lane up and down. A car makes that all unnecessary to worry about.

The breakfast was exceptionally good. The shuttle service to and from the airport was very friendly and reasonably priced.

A large, breautifully furnished room with a Magnificant view from all sides. You can see the Duomo in Florence from the Villa on a clear day, and the surrounding countryside was beautiful. It isn't too far from Florence by taxi or car, but was very relaxing at the end of a day in the city. Every detail of the room was beautifully decorated.

This is a marvelous property with very charming and welcoming hosts. I would highly recommend this wonderful villa. We stayed at another Karen Brown villa in Santa Margherita/San Lorenzo (Villa Gnocchi) which was far below the Ville Il Colle. Il Colle is a find!! My congratulatins to Azelio and Luisa for making their home feel like ours for a few days. Mille Grazie.

It really is too far from the nearby town to be a walking property. Very uphill. Really need a rent car to enjoy stay. (WE had one)
