It really is lovely facility in a lovely neighborhood. The staff were very accommodating in everything to helping me with lost luggage, to making reservations at various museums and exhibits to directing us to very nice but not widely known restaurants. I highly recommend this facility over a traditional pensione or hotel room especially if you are staying for a several days as we did.

Check out was taken care of the night before our early morning departure, the taxi was called as we had agreed in advance and was waiting for us. Very helpful staff.

We didn't take advantage of the club and restaurant on the lower level. Actually we didn't explore and go down there until the last day (it was closed when we went down there) It looked like a nice service that we might have taken advantage of if we had looked for it so you might say more about that in your web site. I would use words like 'spacious' and 'sparkling clean' in your web site as well. This really is a very nice facility!

The facility was spacious and immaculate! It was a nice place to come 'home' to after being in town with crowds, always welcoming. The best part about the stay was the amount of space we had, 3 single beds in the loft, a kitchenette with full plateware and flatware with a table and chairs, full couch and a large, very clean bathroom. We stayed 6 nights and it was perfect. I am recommending it to everyone. Our other traveling companions who stayed at other facilities would stay at Residence La Contessina on their next trip too. We will definatley go back!

Very centrally located. Close to train, outdoor markets and all major tourist sites. La Contessina is a hidden jewel or quiet oasis in a very busy city. Their staff is very courteous and knowledgeable and can inform you on sites that are off the beaten track. My wife and I highly recommend La Contessina.

In general, I found a car a detriment not only in Florence, but in most large Italian cities -- especially for one from North America. This has nothing to do w Residence La Contessina, but is a worth-while 'tip' for visitors.

One of the best accomodations we had in Italy -- especialy for people traveling wiht children. Great location, Great value. Strongly recommended.

We had a wonderful time in Florence and having the apartment made it so easy to travel outside of Florence. We were always greeted when we came or went at the apartment. Breakfast was included in the price, which made our trip alittle easier. We have also told our friends who are coming in May to check it out online so that they can make reservations to stay there. If we every return to Florence, we will be staying at La Contessina. Thanks so much for making our first trip to Italy so wonderful and convenient. Tom and Janine Wrightson

Cleaning could have just a little better, microwave did not have dishes for cooking.
Other cooking facilities were excellent and the fridge was a generous size. The staff were very friendly, helpful and generous with their time and encyclopaedic knowledge of Florence which we found very helpful during our one month stay.

I have stayed in hotels and there are good and bad points to that. I have stayed in appartments and they have their good and bad points. La Contessina has all the advantages of a hotel, a 24 hour concierge, beds made, towels changed, and breakfast supplied with the size and cooking facilities of an apartment.

I found it so homely,so warm and welcoming........the place, the staff.The owner Mr. Palagoti is such a fine gentelman.It was a great experince.
The person on duty when I arrived did not know English,but we communicated very well.He was so warm and welcoming like all the other staff members.

I had used a couple of water bottles the last night I was there.I pointed that out to the person who was working on front desk and he did not charge me. The goodbyes were so warm.......it was like saying goodbye to my own family.We promised to keep in touch.

The staff are warm and friendly.The apartment is lovely with tiled floors and high celings.There is a lot of privacy.it is very centrally located.Everything is at walking distance.If you are thinking of taking a vacation in Florence this is the place to stay.It is good value for money.

I phoned from the train station to enquire about directions for a taxi but within 5 minutes someone was there to take us to the accommodation which was within walking distance. It was 38degrees and he was verybhot from rushing over to meet us but he even carried my daughter's baggage rather than wheel it along the cobbled streets as he was frightened of damaging us. We were most impressed with this service.

We were very impressed with the quality and cleanliness of the apartment and its fittings. the airconditioning inthe extreme heat was most welcome. Staff were very friendly and most helpful answering our endless questions and requests. Nothing was aproblem for them.

Well appointed in a great location with excellent facilities and friendly staff. Highly recommend. More than adequate for a family of four as we were, but perfect for a couple who don't want a hotel room and want the extra space and cooking facilities. Best accommodation we stayed in, in the month we were travelling through Europe.

The staff was wonderful, we were greeted immediately and adjustments were made for our lack of understanding the language, the receptionist spoke Italian/English/Spanish so we got along perfectly.

I must say you did a wonderful job of describing the Residence La Contessina but our overall stay was more than I had expected. I was nervous about booking on-line but it was wonderful.

The staff was great, although they did seem a bit nervous when we went out the morning of our departure. It was only 9am and they asked when we planned to check out - we were out by 10:30am but their nervousness was a bit odd to us.

The only thing the website doesn't include is Spanish as one of the languages and this was helpful to us.

It is absolutely worth it. The location is perfect for walking all the hot spots and more. The staff is great and accommodating. And of course the apt. was perfect - we loved being able to have our coffee and breakfast without going anywhere. Loved it.

The sofa bed is however a bit too soft. Not good for the back.

The room was clean, spacious and lovely. The only difficulty was that it had a connecting door to an adjacent room which was occupied on our second night by a businessmen who smoked, watched TV and used his computer until we finally complained to reception at 1am and he turned it down slightly. He was not making excessive noise but everything came through or under the door as if there was nothing in between us. Since the hotel was advertised as sound-insulated and smoke-free this was slightly annoying, but at least the management did something and kept the room free for the following night. They should, however, be encouraged to correct the design-flaw in their building.

Very good, very convenient for both the train station and the centre of town, very good for a family or four - we were able to read and play games into the evening while children went to bed upstairs. One reservation as above.

We were in Italy for 2 weeks and this place was by far the best place we stayed. The room was spotless the beds were comfortable and we were delighted with the fully equipped kitchen. This was by far the best place we stayed and really exceptional for the amount that was charged. Were I ever to return to Florence I would not hesitate to stay here. I recommend it very highly.

We originally made reservations for 4 days but could not get there the first day of our reservation as there was a train strike and we were unable to leave Venice. We called the hotel to advise them and they were very accommodating and did not charge us for the cancellation of the first day of our reservation.

were great. We were overwhelmed when we
check-in. However, after checking out, I
noticed that I left some posters I bought
at the gallery in the room. I emailed
them hoping that they could send them to
my hotel in Rome. Unfortunately, no reply
from them, and of course, I did not
receive the posters.

have little shampoos, conditioners and
shower cap well-arranged in the bathroom
just like a hotel. These little details
impressed us. The kitchen utensils are so
clean, seemed like new.

Our apt was a great value for the money and I would definitely stay there again. The location was very good and accommodations were more than acceptable. The service was largely good though some rules were annoying -- ie, not being able to take breakfast to your room.

Arrival details are fine if you are walking. If you are coming by car, as we were, it took us nearly an hour to work out the one way streets even though we were going past the end of the correct street all the time. Maps do not show one way streets in Florence. Once we got there the place was terrific

Very freiendly, hospitable and comfortable. The little internal courtyard is arelaxing haven, especvially when the sun shines, and the place is quiet. The facilities are modern (newish) not old and tired.

Lovely apartments close to the train station (within a couple of minutes walking distance) but very quiet with no noise from trains or roads (as the apartments are set back from the road behind other buildings). Conveniently located for exploring Florence by foot and has several restaurants close by.

We were given room 201 which was directly behind reception and as a result was a little noisy, could hear phone ringing etc.
also during our stay some construction began directly outside our window and although staff apologised we were not offered a different room. i think they should have had an idea that this was going to start and not given us this room in the first place.

We had a plesant stay at your premise. The apartment was cosy and new. We liked the common patio outside where we could sit and chat. We found the room a little dusty especially on the stairs. The kitchen was well equipped. The staff were polite, obliging and helpful most of the time. On the whole, we had enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back again.
