The entry way from the street is not very attractive and does not do justice to the hotel itself. Also, first impression was that because it is on a busy street there might be noise, but there was no problem in this area.

It was a good choice, both in terms of comfort and cost. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel location is also convinient for all reasons.

The signposting outside the Hotel is so discreet that one misses it completely, unless it is nighttime because it is made up of neon lights only and impossible to see during the day, due to the size and position of it too (tucked to one side, a small, vertically arranged sign saying Cossimo di Medici). Everyone I spoke to had difficulty finding the Hotel, even though we had the building number because the name is very difficult to see.

I was initially given a room exactly adjacent to the breakfast area which I changed as soon as I arrived. The sound of cutlery and the coffee machine is not what I would like to wake up to...
On a positive note, the Hotel was quiet, despite being in a central area of Florence. It has easy access to the train and bus stations, Tour centres, markets and shopping and eating areas. Staff were very helpful with directions.

I was charged double for 1st May which was a holiday. The policy of charging double for holidays should have been made clear when I booked from home.
The staff at reception were very helpful and especially Alessandra, a lovely, bubbly, smiling girl was always very very helpful with everything.

Some of the rooms have tiny bathrooms. I also thought they could change/redecorate their exterior shutters, as they seemed to be from the middle ages... (the paint chipped badly and the wood swollen). The rooms had everything to make one comfortable, as far as three star hotels go. The cleanliness was striking.
I liked the cozy atmosphere of the breakfast room.

I would describe it as a central yet quiet, friendly hotel.

The staff we very helpful during my stay, and the hotel was exactly what I was looking for when I made the booking. The room was quiet, since it faced onto a central courtyard, and the location by the station and close to the centre was just what I needed. I also found the internet access very useful - this was an added bonus.

water pressure in the shower was VERY strong and hot water was plentiful. Bathroom was tiny, but very functional. My room itself was very small, but clean and lovely with very high ceilings, and a little balcony.

room was not ready upon arrival; first they tried to give us a small loft not attached to hotel that had a boxspring up a set of steep stairs instead of a mattress.

the bathroom was miniscule, and the stall shower even smaller. the english tv was not working when we arrived, and no one could figure out how to make it work until we did it ourselves, a few hours before we left.

The hotel is what you would expect for the money...small room, a teeny tiny bathroom, but it was clean and the air conditioning worked. Best feature is that the internet is free and easy to use. The hotel is one block from the train station which is very convenient if you arrive and leave by train. I have to admit I expected a bit more--the rooms could use an update.
