By Train:
From the railway station of Florence you can reach the Hotel Davanzati on foot (ten minutes), by taxi or by bus number 23. If on foot exit the railway station, into Via Panzani, then Via de' Cerretani and continue on until you reach the Duomo. Turn to right into Via de' Calzaiuoli and a few meters before you reach the Piazza Signoria, turn right into Via Porta Rossa. This will take around 10 minutes. Taking a taxi from the taxi stand immediately in front of the station will take around 7 minutes, depending on traffic.
By Car:
From the highway, take the exit Firenze Nord. Follow the signs for "Centro" and "Stazione S. Maria Novella". As the bed and breakfast is located in the pedestrian zone it is best to park in one of the many public car parks that you will find next to the S.Maria Novella railway station. Then the station is a ten minutes walk from the station. (See above for directions).
From the Amerigo Vespucci Airport Florence:
Take a taxi directly to the Hotel. Alternatively there is a shuttle bus to the Santa Maria Novella train station (approximately 25 min). There is a bus every 30 minutes. You can buy the tickets at the bar of the airport or directly on the bus. |
