All services such as chemist, medical doctors, banks, post office, supermarket are nearby. The bank, with automatic teller, is just across the street. In Via de' Servi, left side facing the Duomo, a good supermarket. The small electric bus looping in the old center stops just by ( easy and unexpensive way to take a general look of the city and get oriented).
What to say more about this exceptional location? In addition to the monuments, you can enjoy the fashion district just around the Duomo (Gucci, Pucci, Cavalli, Dolce e Gabbana...) Moreover,Via de' Servi is either near to the S.Croce district (very lively, full of restaurants and old things to buy, as well as art treasures such as Giotto's frescoes...) both to the famous S.Lorenzo market, where you can have leather goods, handcrafted gifts, little bits of Italy to take home...every day, with the backgound of the typical old stalls and numberless wine bars, traditional trattorias and so on. And, to end with, Robiglio's, probably the best pastry shop in town, is actually by your front door! |
