Our stay Via de Servi apartments helped make our first trip to Florence a great experience. I will come back again and have already told some friends.

The sweat smell in the morning from the bakery below the apartment(Robigelo's)was worth twice as much as we paid(but don't charge me more when I come back).

The housekeeper was there to let us in. It would have been helpful to have had a list of local grocery stores, restaurants, etc. in the apartment. The housekeeper did not speak English so although she was helpful, it was difficult to communicate about where to shop for food.

There was no hairdryer as listed on the website. The apartment was fine but it was very dark and the courtyard listed on the drawing was an airshaft. You could not open the windows because there were pigeons in the airshaft and lots of mosquitoes so using the airconditioning was required. The living room was ok, sofa was comfortable but the two orange chairs were not.

This apartment is one of three connected apartments. The bedroom had the connecting door to the next apartment which made it very noisey. You could hear the neighbors very well since the door was not sealed for noise prevention. The neighbors were students who came in late and were having alot of fun as young people do but it was not pleasant to be woken up by them in the middle of the night. Our first night one of them got locked out and was in the hallway knocking and yelling for about 10 minutes.

It was a fine apartment for two people who spend most of their time out. The kitchen facilities were fine and had appropriate utensils, pots and pans and dishes. The bathroom was great,as was the bedroom with a very firm bed. It was a dark apartment, light only came in midday when people are usually out doing things. There was alot of noise from the adjoining apartments and from people coming in and out of the building - door slamming alot. The bakery below provided wonderful smells to wake up to. The apartment was in a perfect location to enjoy Florence. Overall we enjoyed our stay there except for the noise, darkness and inability to open the windows due to mosquitoes.

I made it clear that 2 people would be staying, my mother and I. We arrived late at night and there was only linen for the double bed. My mother and I do not share a bed, so we had the inconvenience of no linen for one bed for 2 nights. Also the apartment was not properly cleaned. It was full of dust, and hadn't been properly vacuumed prior to our arrival.

The location should be decribed as being within 200 metres of the Duomo.

It was no. 42 Via de Servi. I was unaware that in Italy there can be 2 no. 42s on a road. This could have been explained to us.

Our apartment was unavailable due to a broken toilet. We were offered a superior property although they did not have a washing machine which was a dissapointment.
The property had air conditioning but no control to use which in 30C heat was a problem. It only had one fan.

Better directions re street numbers.
Clearer instructions about arrival. It said between 2 and 4 pm. I was unsure if that meant that the woman who let us in (at 10am) was going to be there for that period. We ended up calling on our Australian mobile to the contact number provided which was very expensive to do.

Very nice, good location, but in need of fans or air condiitioning in the summer.

The location near the Accademia was better than expected and certainly better than I had imagined from the Website.

Prime location, very suitable facilities, honest and 'as represented' financial terms, I would recommend the property if going to Florence.
