Better directions - clearer map of the precise location of the hotel ... Traditional Italian style hotel positioned in an excellent location just two minutes from the main railway/bus station. Ideal if you are travelling by rail or bus.
Our room was tastefully decorated, spacious and very comfortable.
The river and the city centre is just a five minutes walk away.
I came to Florence to run the City Marathon. The hotel was ideally located - 20 minute stroll to the start and ten minute hobble from the finish!
We had a lovely stay in Florence and will definitely stay at Hotel Domus Florentiae again.

There were no real directions to the hotel. I had to ask vendors in the train station for assistance. Luckily the hotel was only a few blocks away. ... I moved to another hotel for a few days to get a lower rate, but was dissatisfied and moved back to Domus Florentiae. My new room was even better than the original. ... My requested early morning call did not occur. Luckily I was awake early. Staff did provide coffee and croissants although it was too early for the regular breakfast. ... No. ... Very elegant, clean property. Close to railway and bus stations, and only a few minutes walk from major historical sites. I was very satisfied with my choice.

I had trouble with the map that was published on line, and no one knew the address, because it is not a street. Could be clearer in how to locate hotel. ... Single room is quite small. ... Good location. Clean and pleasant. A little noisy. Hard to find.

At first, I thought it was a mistake because I have never styed in a hotel situated in the first floor of a building. But I recommend the Domus Florentiae Hotel for a peaceful stay. It's a little hotel but it's perfect for relax after being walking by Florenze the whole day.

In general, the hotel is very good but the breakfast did not live up to expectations and should be improved. ... Would highly recommend for a stay in Florence

The Hotel and the staff were above average. The one real problem were the people who congregated in the piazza every eveing they were very noisy even though the widows were shut you could still hear them. Aside form that the hotel is located very close to the central train station. And within easy walking distance to most of the sights. ... The only one problem were the poeple who congrated right outside the hotel every eveing they were very noisy. The noise was a nightly issue and when we appraoched the staff they recommended we close our windows. The problem was the widows and the shutters were already closed and you could still hear them clearly. This usaully took place between 8:00 pm and 1:30 am or later. ... Very nice place to stay but be prepaired to stay up late due to the noise in the piazza.Very well located within the city within walking distance to most attractions.

I would like to thank you for the wonderful stay we had in Florence. The staff were very helpful and we appreciated. Thanks again. Lyn Wilton ... I would explain that it was an ideal location, very close to all the sights. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean and a nice buffet breakfast. Overall a hotel I would recommend.

Internet connection in my room didn7t work for my laptop. Staff were not helpful about this issue. ... Location of this hotel is fantastic, 3-6 mins walk to Duomo, San Lorenzo, Uffizi etc. Great shopping street (via de'Tornabuoni)is just around the coener, loads of restaurants around the hotel as well. Really center of the town, only 1 mins to central staion and bus terminal, so here is great base to visit small towns in Toscany. All facilities are spotlessly clean, working fine its almost 4 star hotel level. Breakfast is bit dull but just OK. Hotel stuff were not very helpful (particulary when I had problem cennecting innernet), but do their job just fine. Our bathroom (Triple room) was big in italian hotel's standard, very clean and we even had jacuzzi bathtub ,great!
Overall, this place is very good value for money. If staff is bit more helpful and breakfast is bit lively this 3 hotel is surely better than most of 4 star hotels in italy. Recommended.

The bathroom (namely shower) was very small but adequate.
Climate control was not good. Only one control point for the whole hotel, and we weren't allowed to open the window - also the noise outside means you don't want to open the window. It was hot in the hotel. ... Central, Cute & Clean - well refurbished and certainly serves the purpose! If they sort out their heating / AC issues, a great place to stay.

I booked a twin room, which was nicely furnished and very clean. The air conditioning worked well and the hotel was located down a quiet street close to the train station which was useful.
The reception staff were helpful and suggested a couple of good places to eat.
The only negative point was that the room was smaller than expected, it was rectangular in shape instead of square and the twin beds were placed head to head along one wall rather than side by side.
I would probably stay again. ... No ... No ... Overall we enjoyed our stay and though the hotel offered value for money.
