Who knows if soccer as it is now played owes its roots to the homonymous
Florentine sport that was played in the 15th century.
It is a fact that the tradition of historical soccer is an integral
part of Florentine history.

Saint Patron of Florence.
June 24th, the day of the patron saint, is rich with appointments,
from the morning onward, with the administrative court in Palazzo
Vecchio, in which will parade the Deputation, with the Vallettes
and Figures that represent the four historical Neighborhoods that
will participate in the "Palio di San Giovanni", the rowing
competition on the Arno.
In conclusion, at 10 p.m., the most awaited show, "I Fochi
di S. Giovanni": the show will see the use of pyrotechnic effects
and fireworks.
