My booking was done very shortly, better you let people know, that it,s hardly possible to make reservation only one day in advance.

The breakfast times were not stated on the room- so on sunday we came too late (only breakfast until 09:30- that,s too short,why should I get up sunday morning so early??)Better the hotel inform clearly the guests about their very special breakfast times!!!

Yes, (positive) the rooms of hotel PORTA FAENZA are really very grand for hotel and especially for a Florence hotel (I know Florence very well). I had a single room and my bed was double. I believe that double rooms will be grander than mine.Also the bathroom was very comfortable and big.
(Negative comment1.)The breakfast buffet was a little bit poor (no big variety of food) and if you were at the breakfast room the last 15 minutes, nearly all of them were finished, either the fruit juice and nobody was taking care of it. I mean, you had to ask from the responsible lady for some juice, instead of her taking care of all these by herself.
(Negative comment 2.)Sometimes in the room and especially from the bathroom area was a bad smell of drains, but it was only sometimes and anyway it was't so bad for me, because I was out of the hotel nearly all day.

I already have described it. It is a nice hotel in the historical center, very close to everything. I had no fear to return back late at night there and the room was very comfortable (except for the wardrobe).The price for that period of the year was very very good to me, cause hotel prices in Florence are expensive for a *** hotel, but I don't know if I can pay a bigger price on the same hotel if I come at another period of the year.The stuff was very helpfull and kind (at least to me). On my next trip to Florence of course I'll choose the same hotel if the price is close to the price I payed this year and of course I'll recommend the hotel to all my friends who are interested coming in Florence, choosing the same booking way through your company.
Keep like that, you are doing an excellent job, plus your customer satisfaction survey is a very good idea which seems that you have respect for your clients.
And something else. How can I contact with you in order to book a hotel in Rome and Lido di Jesolo of Venezia?
And something last,but not least to me.If you are interested of finding new stuff, please inform me, cause I adore Italy and I want to come there, finding a job and live there forever and especially in Florence. I've studied business administration and my present job is making economical studies at the project's department for the company which I work and I also have the public relations of it.I know computer very well, English and a little of Italian.

Got a little confused coming off the train in Florence, and went the wrong direction, but that's certainly not your fault. I don't remember seeing any directions beyond the hotel's address, though.

We had asked for a quiet room away from the street, after reading other guests' comments that the front was noisy. We were initially given a room at the front. At check-in time it was not noisy, but it became so late in the evening. The hotel obligingly moved us to a much nicer quiet room the next day, after we pointed out our request on the booking form.

Breakfast buffet offered a wide choice and was amply stocked, right up to closing time. I particularly liked the fresh fruit, all at the perfect stage of ripeness for eating. Franca graciously attended to all our needs.
Another guest completing this survey has commented that the coffee was instant. We have to agree that the caffe latte was not good, and may have been instant. The cappuccino was excellent. Water for tea was not always hot enough for brewing.
Front desk staff were always friendly. When Letty needed to visit a doctor, Beatrice told us of a clinic not far away and called to see what hours it would be open.
Our chambermaid was unfailingly cheerful and took excellent care of our room.
Free internet was a great help to us.
The drawers and hanging space were rather scant. Our big room had plenty space for another item of furniture, such as a chest of drawers. That would be a definite improvement.

There is actually a better route for walking between the hotel and S.M.N. Station, along Via Cennini instead of Via Nazionale. Nazionale is awkward to negotiate with luggage, being crowded with people and busy with traffic. Cennini is quiet, and it ends with a pedestrian crossing which leads almost directly to a side entrance of the station. Travellers should be warned about the confusing street numbers in Florence.

I don't recall getting directions to the property, but we found it easily enough on our own merits. I felt this hotel was great value and we were very happy with our stay there.

The only reason I say 'good' for the quality of the rooms is the noise level.
Our room was on the street and it's close to a café. Next time I would ask a room in the inside court.

I had requested 4 single beds. The room we were first given had 2 single beds and 2 cots. Actually, they were chairs that turned into cots ,and one was broken, collapsing in the middle. I was not happy and asked them to move us or at least give us another cot that wasn't broken. They said they were full and could not move us or give us another cot that night. The next morning they moved us to a room with 4 beds.

My room faced Via Faenza and was very noisy. Yhe second room I reserved was much smaller than expected. The staff were reluctant to turn on the air conditioning one night.
