we ordered a quad room (for 3 adults and 2 children) - realistically it was one room with a double and 2 singles - size of the room was smaller than expected

car parking was kept by another company - they wanted cash for the car park stays - would have been nice for a credit card transaction or all included in the price

good food and resturants nearby as well as very close to the daily market

good place to stay as its walking distance to the main sights

It would be great if the bread rolls/croissant could be warm.Cold rolls are just not apertizing in the morning. Maybe they could be put in a warm oven and not left on the table.

The staff were very helpful. We were very pleased with their advice on places to eat and directions. We also experienced a 'transportation strike' on the day we were to leave- thankfully the staff was able to accomodate another days stay. They also gave us good advice on how to handle our train schedule changes etc so that we were at ease immediately.

We experienced a problem with our VISA at time of check out and the staff member called to their merchant bank and was able to get the appropriate number for us to call. We manged the issue quickly and processed the transaction without further incident. The professionalism was appreciated.

It was a very clean and functional room. It was very spacious. We had a quad for our family- 2 teenagers and two parents, 3 over 6' tall and we did not feel crowded. Breakfast was average- ask for a capaccino and they will make it for you. The staff is wonderful and friendly- I'd go back!

It is a little removed from the main area of Florence yet close enough to easily walk to anywhere. Hotel Basilea is near the mercato centrale, which is a delightful and yes tasty experience. The place is clean and well cared for, and the staff was incredibly helpful and courteous. The room is comfortable, clean and well air conditioned in the summer.

The hotel was conveniently located and was within walking distance from the train station. Breakfast items were good. Nice size room and bathroom as well. The shower stall is on the small side. Air conditioning worked great. The only draw back was that we could hear noises and people from the hallway.
Overall, a nice hotel.

We were pleased that the location was good for our purpose.Our room was not special but very plain, bathroom very,very, very tight.But the service by the staff, breakfast in the room, etc. were all good.
In Hawaii, you expect much more for this price. But we enjoyed our vacation in Florence.

I would say, that it is a simple hotel, with simple facilities. The location is good, and the staff is excellent. It is not elegant.

We had an early flight so had to leave at 5:45am. The gentleman at the desk was miffed he would have to get up early to unlock the door so we could leave. Otherwise, nice place.

When we arrived, we had to wait while receptionist talked on phone for about 20 minutes, which made us late for dinner reservations.

They need to get shower doors that actually keep water from getting all over floor.
