Only problem was the dogs, who were too watchful when we came back late in the evening - we aere used to big watchdogs ourselves, but we felt a bit uncorfomtable having the dogs barking at us by the door and following us from the entrance to the door.

There were two dogs (berger allemand). It was not notified in the information about this apartment. It was not a problem for us but if somebody comes with children or is allergic or afraid, I think that it's very important to notify this aspect.

Our stay at Casale Fontibucci were outstanding. The property and apartment were spectacular, the owners were extremely accomodating and kind, the price was more than fair.
Directions to the location could have been more precise. We had difficulty finding the location without the help of a local American girl's offer to drive us. It was definately worth the effort!

The ONLY deficiency was that the toilet was not functioning properly.
Otherwise, we loved the place. Our hostess provided us with fresh bread each morning, a couple of bottles of home-made wine during our stay, helpful advice on how to negotiate Florence, and books to tke home for our daughter, who is studying Italian.

Our hostess Aurora was very friendly, helpful, and courteous. She greeted us immediately on our arrival and showed us to our room, which had been upgraded to an apartment at no additional cost to us.

The website did a great job of describing the property and the amenities that came with our room. The pictures on the website were very accurate, both inside and outside photos. Our hostess, Aurora, answered all of our questions and helped us by making reservations at two museums in Florence for us. She also suggested nearby restaurants and even made our dinner reservations for us.

We actually left earlier than expected, so we didn't get to say goodbye to our hostess.

Casale Fontibucci is a beautiful property that overlooks Florence. The view from every window is amazing. Aurora was very helpful and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. I would highly recommend Casale Fontibucci to anyone traveling to the Florence area.

1. during our stay, there were twice problems with hot shower water.
the problems were fixed very quickly from the time we reported it.
2. some extra cleaning from time to time could give guests better experience (under the bed or closet interiors.

I would be helpful to recommend renting a car for a stay at Fontibucci. The property is not so difficult to get to by car, but remote. Taxi fares to the site are expensive.

Picturesque and serene setting in the Tuscan hillside overlooking Florence. Very peaceful and tranquil. A 20 minute drive from Florence, and a great sanctuary after a busy day of sightseeing in the city.

The bed and breakfast room has a parlor with refrigerator and microwave oven, and is much more than a bedroom with breakfast. This should be mentioned in the web site.

It was Easter and i guess we should have realised that there would be no bus from Bagno a Ripoli!! OR any Taxi's to San Romolo. Perhaps you should warn people in future.Luckily, a kind lady overheard us and drove us there- wonderful.

Our hostess was extremely helpful upon our arrival. The accomodations were just what we expected and the farmhouse and grounds were beautiful.

This is the perfect get away up in the hills of Tuscany. The scenery was breathtaking. Amazing views of Florence and the Tuscan hillsides. Auora's gardens are beautifully landscaped and although there is much to do a short car ride away, it is just as worthwhile to remain on the grounds and relax. You will be best served with a rental car.

An extravagant place for a really reasonable place. Aurora goes way above and beyond what you would expect of a hostess. She took the time to help us plan a couple of day trips that were tailored to our specific needs. This is a perfect place if you want a stay that combines a visit to Florece with a trip through wine country. I highly recommend Casale Fontibucci to anyone wanting to stay outside of Florence.

It would be helpful, to explain, how to come with Busses (which one, link to timetable) to the accommodation. We get in little trouble to find the address (even our taxi-driver ... :-) )))

In the winter time, a little mor heating would be better. We had 13,5 degrees celsius in the rooms at our first nigth and 17,9 at the last ... So it was a bit to cold there.

During 14 days travelling this was our best accommodation as for the style, space, location, view and the selfcatering facilities. The only thing I would comment on was the room temperature which was lower than I am used to. This was the case in most of our places where we stayed. Secondly, the water pressure both in the bath and the toilet was low.

We arrived early and unannounced. Aurora was kind in accommodating us by showing us to our room and providing the necessary directions to Florence by bus.

We would return again. Our experience at the Casale Fontibucci was very pleasant. The room was beautiful and well maintained. Again, Aurora was extremely helpful and also called a taxi for us to return us to the train station after our stay.

It was a very beautiful place and I loved it. We knew it was not near Florence. We just did not realize how expensive the Taxi ride would be to get back and forth. We were only there for a short time and we actually preferred staying there then being in town. The hostess was extremely helpful showing us herself how to get around town on the bus and where to catch the taxi that would take us back to the room.

The views are spectacular. Using the pool is essential on hot summer days. It is easy to travel to Tuscany from there. Important to rent a car - if you want to travel each day, otherwise area is good for long walks.

We arrived late because we missed a train in Milano. When we finally got there we were greeted by a group of people that made us feel very welcome. They helped us to our room with our luggage.

Aurora's husband drove us into town to rent a car. He took time on his Sunday to do this. They were very helpful with everything. The place was just beautiful. I would stay there again.

I know it's hard to show all of the property on the website but the whole place and the surroundings are just beautiful. The only negative was the road to get there was very narrow and you neede to take extra care while driving.

Our trip took longer than expected due to unexpected traffic, we phoned ahead to warn Auroa that we would be late. She reassured us and when we arrived well past the check-in time, she was nothing but welcoming and hospitable. Even offering us some provisions if we needed them.

We had a splendid stay at Casale Fontibucci. The place is absolutely wonderful : fresh air,quiet, privacy, a marvelous vue of Florence and the florentine hills,the ancient tower- where is located apartment Lila -giving a sentiment of history .
The apartment Lila was very nice, clean, warm and quiet; it is also very tasteful arranged.
A special remark of the owners: educated, polite,very kind and discreet too.
Casale Fontibucci is '...a room with a vue' indeed.
We regret staying only 12 days and we hope coming back as soon as possible.

A beautiful casale with a panoramic view not so distant from the centre of Firenze. The owners of the casale were really friendly and the house was well kept and always clean. The only negative aspect was the tortuose and narrow path to arrive to the casale.

there was a faster route to the B&B from the sma highway-the directions you gave where more for a scenic tour!!
