We were pleasantly greeted and immediately given information about the Palazzo and Florence. We were even given wonderful restaurant recommendations that were very close to the Palazzo. The food was excellent and the prices were reasonable. ... The Palazzo more than met our expectations. The next time I am in Florence the Palazzo is where I will be staying. The location is superb! My only comment would be that there are steps to the reception area and rooms. Anyone with a physical disability would find this very challenging. ... Check out was quick and easy. We asked for a car to take us to the train station; the wait was minimal. ... Again, my only thought of concern would be the steps for the phycially handicapped. Otherwise, the Palazzo exceeded our expectation. For the remainder of our trip through Italy we continually raved about how pleased we were that we choose to stay at Palazzo Galletti. ... Superb! The staff was efficient and helpful. The accommodations were exceptionally clean; the rooms were large. The location was great. I would absolutely recommend to a friend to stay at Palazzo Galletti. No one should waste their time looking for another place to stay when you have a hidden gem in Palazzo Galletti!

The directions to the B&B were fine once we figured out how to get to the Piazza.. ... It was better than we could have imagined. It really felt as though we were staying in a palace. The rooms were fantastic the 20 ft ceilings were a nice touch. ... I don't think the website can fully explain the greatness of the bed and breakfast. I was very impressed by everything. ... I have already recommended it and advised that of all the accomodations we used on the trip it was the best we stayed at. I would recommend if in Florence they should be staying at Palazzo Galletti.

The receptionist was very helpful and kind. She hepled us get organized and with it being Easter it was probably challenging. ... We loved the Palazzo and only hope we may return many times. We have already bragged about it to all our family and friends as the ultimate Italian find. ... we are worried that they will realize they could get much more for the room. ... Palazzo Galletti makes your trip to Italy seem like you are an honored guest. They advised on how to get around best and pointed us to a restaurant nearby that we ended going to twice because of how reasonable and good it was. There seemed to be no request that they were not happy to fullfill. ... I describe it as staying in a palace with beautiful art and space that is rare in Florence. It's location is perfect and I really feel like we found this great secret place in Florence which makes me hesitant to tell too many people. It was our favorite visit in Italy!!! The room, CERE, has to be seen and will not be believed that this is your room. The bathroom was pure luxury.

Seemed to be some confusion about our arrival time despite my having e-mailed our flight arrival at Pisa and estimated time in Florence accurately! but no harm done ... A lovely property although not all rooms are as beautifully decorated as in the illustrations. The room was large, comfortable and well equiped. The bathroom was excellent. Some rooms were not so well provided - e.g bathroom without a door in one! ... Was surprised to be asked to pay the day prior to departure, but this was not a problem ... The breakfast is fairly basic ... not very imaginative (little fruit, only white bread - no brown, wholemeal, etc) - and always the same.
the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.
The desk is not normally staffed after 7 pm ... Very nice rooms and very nice staff and the hotel is in an ideal location. If they improved the breakfasts just a little this would be truly first class.

Very clean, nice decoration, with very good breakfast. ... The receptionist was very nice and polite. ... It's a nice little - and affordable - palace in the heart of Florence!

I had emailed a week ahead about museum reservations but did not hear back from them. (When we arrived, they were very helpful in making these reservations, but would have liked to have heard a reply as requested.)
Starting breakfast before 8:30 would be helpful to those of us who'd like to get out and about. ... They were very efficient, kept our bags until noon, so we could sightsee, then called a taxi for us. Very helpful. ... I would suggest changing the wording about it being on the 'first floor', which of course is up one flight, to make this clear to those unfamiliar with the terms. ... We were sorry to leave! The room, Giove, was elegant and the bathroom was luxurious. It was very quiet and comfortable. The location was very convenient, within easy walk of the Duomo, shopping streets, and restaurants. Finally, the reasonable price made it a great value.

The one way streets and the lack of street signs mad the drive difficult. ... The staff were very helpful, having a list of close by services like laundry would have been helpful. The breakfasts were exactly the same every day and more limited than on the remailing 10 days of our trip. They could also have more relationships with tour companies and other potential visitor needs. ... Personally liked the location, everything was within 15 minutes walking distance. I felt safe throughout the 6 days in Frienze. ... P-G is a great Botique B & B, good location, helpful staff, great rooms, I would definitely go back!

Francesca received us with a SMILE. she and Samuel are very helpful.
... We were very happy with their service. Always service with a SMILE. ... No problem and they even assist us to call for taxi. ... Nothing. Everything was OK ... We will not hesitate to recommend Palazzo Galletti to our friends or anyone who are looking for a nice hotel to stay in Florence.
Rating: 9 out of 10.

As to the breakfast it was less good than expected, since the breakfast was rather poor. Just Toast-bread and no other bread or fresh panini at all. No Service was on duty with the brakfast room. No Prosciutto or Formaggio at all. A light (bulb) in the breakfast room was broken - three days long nothing happened. So the light in the room was less than optimal. ... all in all very positive as a house with charme in a vital neibourhood but very quiet rooms that have style and very good bathrooms.

There was only a small plaque next to the door to indicate that was Palazzo Galetti, we were on the other side of the street and missed the plaque and ended up walking further up the street and asking for directions. A sign over the door would have been easier to see.
The stairs are difficult to get cases up and we weren't offered any assistance.
... We went to breakfast on the first morning half an hour before the room closed and we were surrounded by dirty cups and plates. There was one table which hadn't been used fortunately. There were no clean tea spoons. We had to hunt round for a coffee sachet. There wasn't anyone around to ask for assistance. ... Extremely helpful. Offered to order us a taxi which was nice. Helped with train times by looking on the internet, which was much appreciated. ... We were told on leaving that there were mosquito repellant plug ins available for use in the rooms. This was after I was bitten to death! ... I would definately recommend it, the room was the best I have ever stayed in. The bathroom was fantastic. You felt like you were the first to use the room. We will definately stay again if we re-visit Florence.

The staff was there to greet us expecting our arrival. The rooms were prepared and exactly what was discribed in the website. We had a rental car for an additional day and was able to utilize the parking garage accross the street at a discounted rate for the day. ... There was a minor problem with the shower the first day but got resolved quickly. Otherwise we had a wornderful experience. ... The staff called a cab in the moring for our ride to the train station. This was most beneficial given the time we departed and the amount of luggage we had. Trying to hail a cab in the early morning would have been stressful. ... We were given one key to the room and should we have lost or misplaced that key I don't know how we would have been able to get into the building after 8:00 PM. There should be a contingence plan for the guests. Fortunately this did not happen to us during our stay. ... 'The essence of Florence'. It allowed you to know what it would be like to live in this beautiful city each day. I felt like we were able to take a piece of Florence with us each night of our stay.

The entrance and steps are shared with other users in the building. Consequently they are not up to the standard of the rest of the Hotel. ... the room booked,Nettuno, french door to balcony neither locked, nor closed properly. Was advised by receptionist to prop suitcase against door to keep it closed. As well, one wall rather grubby due to leaking airconditioner. After complaining, was moved to room 'Urano'. Very nicely appointed, especially the bathroom. Exquisite original fresco ceiling. BTW, do not leave windows open at night in Florence, you will be eaten alive by Mosquitoes. ... Staff helpful, we left our luggage at hotel after checkout. ... Location is fantastic, many local restaurants close by, as well as all major sighteeing. Young owners are PASSIONATE about their hotel, so high standard and good atmosphere. Breakfast very good, great assortment of fresh fruit available. Coffee excellent. ... Fantastic 'Boutique' Hotel in great location.

What a precious jewel lies beyond that gate and up those many steps. Perfection! ... This is definitely the most beautiful hotel (B&/B) in all of Italy. Spacious, immaculate and quiet. The view from the balcony was so peaceful and serene. Much more than expected. The photos on the website can never duplicate the beauty of the rooms. Exquisite! All recommendations from the staff were superb...especially the restaurants. ... A five star accomodation in every aspect. Worth every euro.
... Lot's of stairs but worth every step. ... Staying in a palazzo is one thing. Staying at Palazzo Galletti is a first class (superior) experience. Magnificent and beautiful, would recommend to all who go to Florence. A jewel!!!!

Sammy and Sylvia were wonderful hosts at the front desk. It was like having a five star Concierge to help us with directions and travel suggestions. The Breakfast was delicious and served in a charming cozy breakfast nook. English or Italian was spoken as needed. Location (75 yards to the Duomo if you cut through a shortcut) was ideal. ... Our traveling friends had an original Fresco discovered during the renovation of the Hotel in their room. We had a very spacious modern bathroom in our bedroom. ... On checkout and during the stay, the staff assisted us by calling Taxis when needed by using a website where the Taxis came within 5 minutes each time. ... On checkout, the staff held our luggage so that we could tour our last day and return to the hotel to gather our luggage and leave the City. ... Great location. Beautiful property. Excellent staff. Good full breakfast. Lovely room with small private balcony and modern bath. Only drawback is that the room is on second floor of a townhouse and requires a walk up two landings of stairs.

The breakfast lacked originality and was not as good as at other hotels where we stayed. But this did not spoil the good experience. ... This was probably our favorite hotel of all we stayed in during our three weeks in Europe. The restoration of this palazzo was great; keeping the best of the old and updating for maximum comfort. The attention to detail was outstanding and the level of interior design and furnishing was the best we've seen. Highly recommended!

I hope that I will be able to return there sometime, and will certainly recommend it to my friends who plan to go to Florence. ... The operator of the B&B was absent when we arrived but left a telephone number to call and arrived within 5 mintues of calling. Without a mobile phone this could have been problematic! Also without our own street map handy the online directions would be difficult to use. The map when printed from on line does not have enough definition to b useful. ... No one mentioned that there was no elevator and no one to help you with your luggage. The Web site or voucher should clearly state that EVERYONE must carry their own luggage up at least one long flight of stairs. This is prohibitive for some people, including a friend who reserved there. The woman who welcomed us was extremely kind and apologetic and offered to help us. The woman who welcomed my friend (who was alone) would not help her with her heavy suitcase. ... Our room was the most magnificent I have ever stayed in ('Cerere'). However, the refrigerator was not at all cold, and the safe did not operate as the directions stated. These should be checked regularly by the owners. The housekeeper was very kind and very quick. It would also be helpful if there was someone at the reception desk at all times to answer questions. Most of the time we were there no one was available and the reception area was locked. The housekeeper spoke only Italian and told us there was no one to call us a taxi. ... They asked us to check out the day before as there would be no one in the office the next day at 11:00 when we needed to leave. ... That there are several rooms with frescos which are VERY large with VERY large beds and bathrooms. These are WAY ABOVE European standards for hotel rooms. Also, there are two very fun restaurants just around the corner (Cafeterria Piansa and La Giostra), and 2-3 Internet points within a block. Breakfast starts too late at 08:30. All the Americans were there at that exact time because we wanted to go out and see Firenze. Too small a room to have that many people enter at once. ... A 'quintessential pensione Italiano', in an ideal location. If you can afford 'Cerere' or 'Giove', you will feel as though you're truly staying in a palazzo!

Even though we mentioned our arrival time, there was no one at the hotel to receive us. We were forced to phone with our mobile phones (which is EXTREMELY expensive) and then to wait 20 minutes in the cold for them to let us in. ... The breakfast could have been better. Some fresh bread, cheeses, coldcuts, eggs, and someone to tend to the guests needs during breakfast. There was rarely any staff around and the reception was randomly manned. There are not even telephones in the rooms to call for cabs or to phone the reception in case of need. They were not readily available for there guests. ... Other members in our group were told (by a post-it note on our door) that the cab had been aranged. No check out was arranged for them because of their early check out. As a result, we were expected to pay their bill, (they had expected them to leave the accomodation in cash with us!!). We spent our last hours in Florence working towards a solution. ... Mention the importance of guest's arrival time so that there is someone to greet them. It is not really a continental breakfast with only yoghurt and cereal and coffee and stale bread. ... A beautiful and unique (boutique) hotel. Perfectly located with a friendly, but difficult to find staff.
