The breakfast was mediocre considering the price of over 250 euros per night per room! I could not get a coffee in the bar untill early evening. ... It is a beautiful old hotel, but really only the size of the room is worth the money, not the rest.

We were greeted by a cheerful helpful receptionist. The room was ready immediately and was larger and nicer than we had expected. We were surprised to have a front entryway and a luxurious bathroom. The wood ceiling in the room was absolutely beautiful ... The room was spacious, very quiet and always clean.
We signed up for a number of tours through the hotel. The tours were excellent. The pick-up for the tours was just a short walk from the front of the hotel.
The location of the hotel is excellent. The train station is only about a block from the hotel. There are a number of wonderful restaurants in the area. The major sightseeing attractions are within 5-15 minutes. ... Just prior to checking out there was a power outage. The computers were not working so we received a hand written bill that was exactly the price that we had been quoted.
The lack of electricity was a challenge but I found that the staff were very helpful. ... There was a computer with internet access that was available for the guests. We paid 6 Euros for one hour, which seemed reasonable. ... The hotel is a charming former palace that has a helpful friendly staff. The rooms are very quiet. The location is excellent. There are many sights and restaurants in the immediate area. The train station is about a block from the hotel. There is a very short walk to the bus tours.

Might good to publish more clearly the train times from Pisa to Florence. I appreciate its on the site through a link but might be good to have a top tips section for getting there. Also to state that the last train from Florence to Pisa airport is about 4:30pm! ... Superior room was beautiful. ... Quick and easy ... If you want a real Florentine Palace and want to wake up in a room that feels like Tuscany, then this is the hotl for you.

Although the air conditioning 'worked' it did not cool the room sufficiently. Therefore the nights were very uncomfortable. They NEED to do something about the airconditioning. Also more attention needed in maintenance of common areas. Corridors etc. looking a little run down. ... We wanted to stay an extra night. But the reception staff were very un-helpfull as the hotel was full. They did not try and get us alternate accommodation either. We found a room at Grand Hotel Minerva which was just across the square. Now this was an EXCELLENT hotel and i would recommend to anyone. Although it did not have the views that Baglioni had. ... Negative. lack of proper airconditioning. Positive. How close it is from the main train station. ... We were lucky to get a room with an excellent view. It is walking distance from the main railway station - even with one suitcase and 1 hand luggage. However do not count on getting a good nights sleep as the air conditioning does not work. They should introduce Tea and coffee making facilities as is common in most asian hotels.
