It's a very good service, and gives you a good idea of the place you are going to, making it very easy to find your way around. Even though we visited Florence for the first time, thanks to the site it was like we had already been there.

Having called the Hotel on the day before our arrival, they re-confirmed the booking and gave us more inormation on how to arrive at the hotel, including the Taxi fare we were expected to pay, so fidig the way was easy.

Our arrival was easy. After we found the B&B, we were greeted by friendly staff eager to get us settled into our rooms. She provided us with a restaurant recommendation and a place to do some laundry. Both were convenient and great.

The Tourist House Ghiberti was absolutely beautiful. We would recommend it to anyone traveling to Florence. The rooms were lovely, they provided us with computer and free internet access from our room, the bathrooms were great, and the breakfast was fantastic.

Wonderful way to start our tour of Italy! Felt we had a home away from home to come back to at the end of each day. Breakfast was very good, with fresh-baked touches and a fantastic choice of teas! Very clean and well taken care of--great hot water. Internet in room was a wonderful addition.

We were able to store our bags when we checked out to continue some last-minute sightseeing and shopping. When we were finally ready to head for the train station and, sadly, leave Florence, Claudio had the taxi there and waiting for us before we had a chance to blink.

Tourist House Ghiberti made one feel that you had a private corner of Florence to 'come home to' each day. It was quiet, clean, warm and inviting. We slept well and had a great 7:00 am alarm clock (though not too obtrusive) with the bells of the Duomo. The bathroom was very clean, with artful tile work and great storage space for our personal things, as well as appreciated touches like a toothbrush holder. The safe was very spacious and built into the wallfor extra security. The computer in the room with an interent hookup was so helpful and spoiled us. Breakfast was ample in a continental way, with touches of fresh baked goods, prosciutto, tasty juices and a fantastic selection of teas. While we did not have the time to use the sauna or whirlpool, they were very clean and a delightful touch in an already wonderful place to stay. Claudio was always helpful and friendly, but not obtrusive and certainly knows how to run an excellent establishment. We (my mother and I) highly recommend this B&B and rate it much higher than many hotels of many stars. I would definitely stay here again should I have the opportunity to visit Florence once more.

It was so good I really wouldn't want to recommend it in case it wasn't available for my future trips to Florence.
The Ghiberti has everything you could ask for, including friendly, helpful and accomodating hosts, and even the added bonus of some beautiful original art pieces on the walls!

Tourist House Ghiberti is definately a great palce to stay in Florence. It is modern, clean and secure with large rooms and ensuites. The breakfast is superb.It is close to the centre of Florence and most sights are within walking distance. The taxi fare from the train station was only 5 Euro. The owners went out of their way to make us feel at home.

The room was very, very spacious, well equipped (the computer terminal and free access is a very nice touch), the bathroom was very modern and spotlessly clean. I was staying in three hotels during my trip and this was by far the best.

We didn't use the road map provided on the web site beacause the taxi driver took us straight there. On arrival though, it was not clear which building we were to enter, we thought we had been dropped at the wrong address. Clearer signs for the guest house would have helped.

Rang Tourist House to see if we were able to leave bags on site, as we were arriving a few hours before stated check in time. Staff allowed us to check in earlier. A bonus for us as we were able to freshen up and relax before exploring the city.

I dont know where to start with comments about this hotel. It was the absolute find of this trip. The rates were very reasonable, the room huge compared to other accomodation in Italy(most hotel rooms small) and the staff were knowledgeable, courteous and due to the small nature of the hotel, made us feel we were guests in their home. The hotel had a small inhouse snack menu from which we chose one day. The prices were cheap and prepared without any trouble. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel, but it pains me to do so because I would hate it to become so popular that I wouldn't be able to get a room when I return one day!!!
As a couple travelling on a medium budget, we were looking for accomodation to fit our requirments. We stayed in 4 hotels, all with a similar fee if not higher. Tourist was 5 star compared to the others. The location was perfect and even though it was in a busy street, the double glazed windows eliminated the traffic noise.
If you want a hotel with a pool and lots of hotel guests to mingle with, this is not for you but if you want to spend time with your partner and feel as if you are in your own apartment, then this is the place.
I am pleased I went with my gut instincts on this place. Thankyou for giving me the opportunity to experience staying at this gem.

The guest house was excellent. It was ideally located for tourist activities as the Duomo was only moments away on foot and it was also a short walk from the main train station. The room itself was spacious and very tastefully decorated with all the modern facilities we could want. I particularly enjoyed the original Tuscan artwork in the room. The property was extremely clean but was also very welcoming with an outside terrace where you could enjoy breakfast in the open air. The owners spoke excellent English which was of great assistance to us and were always available to provide assistance. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and thought it excellent value for money.

This small hotel is ideally located for exploring Florence on foot. It is clean, bright and very well equipped - nice touches included the internet access in the room - separate from the plasma TV & DVD player. Proper bathroom rather than just a shower. Helpful staff. Great value for money, especially in Florence.

We had no problem finding the street, but the entrance was difficult to find. The addresses in Florence can be confusing, and the only sign for the B&B was a small name next to a doorbell on an otherwise unmarked building. Since we were looking for a slightly larger sign, we passed the door three times before we saw it. It would have been helpful to have known that was what we were looking for.

Staying at the Ghiberti House B&B isn't really like any other B&B we've stayed at - with the small intimate size, all the additional amenities and the friendly staff, it's more like staying with a friend. Plus, the bed is one of the most comfortable we slept in during all our travels.

Tourist Hotel Ghiberti was the nicest hotel among the four which we stayed during our trip in Italy. The room was VERY spacious and spotlessly clean. The bed was firm and comfortable. Breakfast was also nice. The noise from the outside streets was a little annoying, but it was far better than hearing noises from the other rooms. If we ever return to Firenze, we would definitely stay there again.

The place must be one of the best hotels in Firenze. The room was beautiful and sophisticated. Unfortunately we didn't have time to use them, but you shoud try the sauna/jacuzzi. The location was wonderful, too. AND the trattoria they recommended, which was just around the corner, was very reasonable and good.

was a bit put off by the lack of a functioning elevator. i was traveling with a guest who has difficulties with stairs and walking in general and this was a disappointment. added more difficulties to her first time in italy which i would have liked to avoid.
