The room was very quiet and super clean and fabuluos the breakfast was excellent and the staff fabuluous as well, we loved our stay at the hotel and will definately return there when and if we ever come back to Florence. We will tell our friends about it as well. It was great value and location.
There was one mix up in the bill at check out that that was quickly solved to our complete satisfaction.

Like stated above we were quoted 100 Euro per night in writing via correspondance through email prior to arriving . When we checked out we were quoted 120 per night, all we did was explain what we were quoted and we were only charged the 100 Euro per night.

how fabulous the breakfast is compared to comparable hotels, how spacious and quiet (a room in the back away from the market as we requested ) was and how cloes to everything the hotel is.

A great place clean quiet (ask for a room away from the market) how nice Eva and her husband the owners were, how great the breakfast was and how central to everything and free internet to go with it all!

The road that Hotel Giada is located on cannot be driven down therefore the taxi drops you off just behind the San Lorenzo Church and you need to walk to the hotel. Its not very far at all but because the actual street that Hotel Giada is on has all the markets its a little crowded and can be difficult if you have 2 or 3 suitcases.
San Lorenzo is not quiet. We were expecting something a little quieter in the evening in the hope that we could visit places after dark. Whilst we ate out for dinner and shopped til late there were many revelers that partied til the early morning hours and they made a lot of noise in the streets. On a few occasions we were woken by loud screaming. It was a mixture of tourists & locals too making all the noise. It wasn't a huge issue but would have been helpful to know that we were certainly not down some side street, its a main road but blocked off to cars and is completly filled with open air markets. Definetly a bonus during the day as the items for sale were fantastic and very reasonably priced!

All staff were so friendly and helpful. We were checked in very quickly and always had someone to ask for accurate assistance. The hotel is beautifully presented, its a very reasonably priced hotel with plenty to see. The breakfasts were great, definetly better than Rome & Venice hotels that we stayed in. We were very well looked after and would definetly visit again.

Very helpful and friendly to us tired travelers!!!! Accomodated a very late check in and suggested a place for dinner that was nearby. A lovely way to start a trip.

Simple accomadations that were very clean. Great location to see all you need in Florence. Easy to get to from train station. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Would stay there again.

We - my partner and I - found the hotel with little trouble, and were welcomed warmly by the staff at reception, whose command of the English language - and patience with our broken Italian - was excellent.

We consistently found the staff to be extremely polite and helpful. I understand it is a small, family run business, which certainly made for a much more comfortable, more welcoming feel.

Your website makes no mention of the internet facility offered by the hotel. This facility is from a laptop at the main desk, and, whilst offering a comparatively slow (56k) connection speed, the service is free to use at any time of the day.

I found the hotel Giada to be a small, friendly place, offering excellent service at very reasonable rates - especially considering its central location. A family run business, the hotel staff were polite, had an excellent command of the English language and were more than patient with my broken Italian. Each room is air conditioned, and a free safe is provided. Internet access is also available, and both television and telephone services are also available. I plan to return to Florence in the new year, and will again reserve a room at the hotel Giada.

Had a great stay at the Hotel Giada. The hotel is a prime location, right in the middle of the San Lorenzo market and a short walk to all the major sights. The price was right for a nice, spacious, and very, very clean hotel. Would definately stay again.

We were driving from Siena to Florence and went to the Hotel to drop off our luggage and then return the car. It would have been helpful if we knew that the Hotel is in the market and you cannot drive your car upto the hotel. There are so many one way streets.It would have been better to return the car and then take a cab to the hotel.

Couple of lights were not working in the room which they said they would fix but were not taken care of. We were only there two nights. The location was very central to everything we wanted to see and do. The breakfast was wonderful. We asked for a room at the back and they gave it to us.

Good location but not to expect any luxury accomadations. You have to go through this leather market and some people might get put off by the noise and smell.

It should be more clear that taxi's cannot drive right up to the hotel. the street market prohibits any traffic. We had to walk about 150 yards to the entrance...not far, but if you have a lot of luggage it is difficult.

We arrived one night earlier but with no forewarning to the hotel had to accept a one single bed room . However later we learned it was to be the long term room for a friend of my wife arriving the next day ( Ms Shelley Carter). Ours was to be a double next door. On this side of the building noise is huge issue with vendors who start dragging their carts as early as 3 a.m. and young club folks who depart them around 1-2 a.m. It is so bad they should not be rented period unless someone was deaf! None theless we found on complaining the owners to be wonderfully responsive altering our rooms to those in their interior area which were were perfect as I suspect most of their rooms are.The owners are wonderful hosts.

The girl at the desk was very helpful when we arrived. Since we were early, only one of the two rooms was available. She moved my luggage from my friend's room to mine when my room was later available.

I don't believe I have ever stayed in a cleaner place! The room was immaculate, including the bathroom. I was very impressed. The only downside was that my room was on the side street where the vendors wheel their carts down for storage in the evening, so it was a little loud during that time.

I would definitely stay here the next time in Florence, and I would recommend it to friends and relatives.

It's a small, nice italian hotel in the
center of florence. you can reach all important attractions within a short walk and the dome is just around the corner.
room provides everything for a short stay, might be too small for a long holiday.
breakfast was 'italian' style so don't expect a continental buffet; however tasty.

There was only 1 person serving breakfast and checking people out so we had to wait 5 mins before checking out.
