- At what time can we check-in and out?
Check In from midday, but guests may collect keys and deposit their luggage earlier if it is convenient for them. Check Out before 10.30am. - Is the price per room/apartment or per person?
The price is per room. - Is breakfast included in the price and what type of breakfast?
Our generous freshly-prepared (no coffee from vending machines or pastries in cellophane at Gianna's!) continental breakfast is included in the price. We offer cereals, yoghurt, fruit, hot and cold drinks, a selection of breads and/or pastries with butter and jams. If you have particular dietary requirements or you'd prefer something else for breakfast please let us know beforehand and we will do our best to satisfy you (but sorry no cooked English-style breakfasts!) - Is heating included in the price?
Yes it is. - Can we settle the bill on arrival?
Yes the bill can be settled upon arrival if you wish. - Which languages are spoken at the reception?
English and Italian. - How many floors are there in the building and do you have an elevator (lift) in the building?
There are three floors - ground, first and second: there is no lift (but only 34 stairs). - Are there quiet, private, romantic rooms?
Gianna's has only ONE room - it is private and reasonably quiet; whether or not you find it romantic probably depends on your state of mind! - Are linens and towels provided or do I need to bring my own?
Linen and towels are provided. - Do the rooms/apartments have a terrace/courtyard?
No there is no terrace or courtyard. - Do the rooms/apartments have a balcony?
No there is no balcony either. - Do you have non smoking rooms/apartments?
The room is non-smoking. - Is there a TV in the rooms/apartments? Are there international channels (satellite or cable TV)?
No TV but there are books and games and, on request, a radio. - Is there a telephone with direct dialling in the rooms/apartments?
No there isn't but if you need to use the phone for brief calls you can use ours. - Is there air conditioning in the rooms/apartments? Is there any extra charge for this? Is it seasonal?
The room has airconditioning in the summer which is included in the price. - Is there a dining room where we could sometimes all dine together?
No there is no guest dining room. - Do you have an Internet/E-Mail point in the Property?
No we don't. There are plenty of internet cafes nearby; we are happy to look up train times etc for you. - Is there a swimming pool? When is it open?
No there is no swimming pool! - Is parking or garage available?
Gianna's is in the historical centre and consequently does not provide parking; there is relatively cheap parking near Piazza Libertà (about 18 euros/day with discounts for longer stays); there are other garages closer to Gianna's but they are more expensive. - Where can we rent a car?
Either at Florence or Pisa airport or in the city centre. The offices in Via Borgo Ognissanti or Via Maso Finiguerra are the closest to Gianna's. - Which is the nearest airport?
Florence airport at Peretola is the closest airport (taxis and buses bring you to the city centre) but Pisa airport is also well connected to Florence (bus and train.) - Do you have a pickup or shuttle service from and to the airport?
No we don't have a shuttle service. - Which is the nearest bus-stop?
Bus 33 coming from S.M.Novella station stops in Via XXVII Aprile and our street is the first on the left after that stop. The 7,11,17,31,32 buses all stop in Piazza S. Marco: looking at the church you exit the square to the left, going down Via degli Arazzieri: for Gianna's B & B turn right into Via S. Reparata. - Which is the nearest railway station?
Firenze Santa Maria Novella, the central railway station, is a 15 minute walk away. - Is there a fitness center in the Property (Gym, Jacuzzi, Sauna, Turkish bath...)?
No there isn't a fitness center in the property. - Are pets welcome?
No pets are not allowed. - Is there a restaurant in the Property?
No there isn't but there are plenty closeby. - Can I connect my modem so that I can surf the Internet from my room/apartment?
No there is no wifi connection in the room.
