There was no sign outside about Gilda, so we were not sure where in the building to go. It was on the top floor of what looked like a residential property - all very confusing.

We got there early and they still let us check in-all four rooms that we had booked were ready. They were very friendly.

The Gilda B&B was wonderful!!! The rooms were beautiful and clean. The service was great!! I would definately stay there again!

Excellent! Large, beautiful, clean rooms with great service! About a 15 minute walk to town center and if that is to long of a walk for you there is a bus stop right outside the front door!

I was quite happy with my room. It was tidy and the bathroom met with my expectations. My only problem was the heavy traffic at via don Minzoni, which disturbed my sleep to some extent.

I am not sure if it was mentioned on the web site that there is no elevator although the rooms were situated at second floor. The staff was however very friendly and carried my luggage upstairs and downstaris.

Mention of restricted English of owners would be helpful for foreigners, just so they are prepared.

Clean, quiet, value for money I think but difficult to communicate with owner,and a bit too far from the main part of the city especially at the end of a full day of walking!

Basic accommodation, on a very busy noisy
main road. Not exactly a Bed and Breakfast -
more like a hostel with breakfast included -
and breakfast is a croissant inside a
plastic bag with coffee from a tin!

The room was extremely noisy from traffic, but this is probably hard to avoid in florence. The breakfast was extremely poor. A cup of orange cordial, a croissant that was sometimes totally dry and inedible and a cup of warm coffee, all served in the room as there was no breakfast room. Very disappointing !

Very noisy, need to take earplugs to sleep. Convenient to bus stops. Not far to walk to the city centre. Terrible breakfast.

I was staying to two nights.
the first night I got one room, and the second I was moved to another one. both were very good, but it is still a little bit of a hassle to be moved of room

the first room were we stayed was very noisy. almost impossible to sleep. the other one was much better. so I think that the prices should be different.

internet and call centre on site (just beside it). that was a nice surprise, and very helpful.

They do not serve continental breakfast, a typical italian breakfast is offered (coffee and one croissant). The B&B is located in a very noisy and hectic road with the result that the rooms are very noisy.

We had asked the bus driver to let us off by a certain landmark, but he didn't know where that landmark was. In the directions it would be better to state that this place is by the Piazza Libertad. That might make it more likely for bus drivers to help visitors find the place.

They actually offered us a discount if we paid in cash instead of with a credit card. Perhaps if that is standard policy that information should be included on the website. We would have done that except we did not have the funds to pay in cash as we planned how much to withdraw from the ABMs and we had a maximum amount to withdraw each day.

Clean area with a spacious room and separate bathroom. The staff are very helpful and polite.

il proprietario era assente (stava lavorando all'Internet point sotto casa), e siamo riusciti a rintracciarlo solo grazie al numero di cellulare riportato nel voucher
se non portavamo con noi il voucher rimanevamo fuori dalla porta

First accomodation I got was a room in Casa di Dante, which was located in the same building. After I requested the room change (mainly beacuse the room was extremely noisy, but also of low quality) I got a room at Gilda. The room was fairy ok, gut it's definitely not true that it was recently refurbished. And in general, all the rooms (even those form the backyard) are noisy - the windows don't stop the street noise at all, while the building is located at the very big, busy street.

There is not a Front Desk at the entrance of the building, kind of dark, not appealling at all. Method of payment available is not specified or at least not clear. We wanted to pay with American Express and it was not available.
