Cristina and Guiseppe welcomed us with bottles of cold water, the suggestion of a great spot to go for our first dinner and lots of wonderful information and maps! ... Rooms were exceptionally clean, beautifully and comfortably decorated; bed and bath linens were changed frequently. Cristina and Guiseppe were extremely helpful in taking telephone messages for us, making reservations at the Uffizi and Academy, giving us directions and suggestions to great trattorias, even making beauty shop appointments for the ladies in our group! Any questions we came up with, they had great answers! Location was excellent ... quiet street within walking distance of nearly all major museums, churches, shopping areas of Florence. (The showers are quite small, even by European standards, but we managed them without getting TOO much water on the bathroom floor. The only other possibe improvement to our stay would have been the ability to make long distance (phone card) calls somewhere on the premises. Using public phones on the street was a bit inconvenient and noisy.) ... C & G arranged for two taxis to take our group to the airport the day of our departure ... they arrived right on time ... at 5:00 AM! ... The photo of the first floor apartment at the Relais Grand Tour should be updated to show the queen size bed. We were under the impression (from the current website photo) that there was only a pull-out sofa in this apartment. ... Outstanding, wonderful, fantastic, delightful!

A real 2-4 cup coffee pot with real (not instant) cofee; the lightrs in the mirror suite were too bright (try soft white, rather than clear bulbs!) Other than that, the Grand Relais Mirrors Suite was wonderful and clean and the management (Cristina) very pleasant and helpful. ... A must stay in a great location

We took a cab from the airport, so really didn't have to use the directions. We loved the area, a bit away from the hordes of tourists. ... Our room, and everything else we saw at Relais Grand Tour, was beautifully decorated. Lots of attention to art and special decorative touches in the room. Very clean. And, quiet - the windows sealed out all street noise. ... We arranged to check out the day before leaving. Cristina was there to say good-bye the next morning and called a taxi for us. ... The 'garden space' outside the suites was lovely. We did not stay in a suite, but may have chosen one had we known this lovely spot existed. I don't think that it is pictured on the Web site. If it is pictured, it wasn't clear to us that it was attached to the suites, vs the rooms. ... A lovely small pension/B&B in the academic area of Florence. Very near the market and Duomo. Wonderful hosts. We stayed in a room, which was fine, but we would stay in a suite if we returned because of the fabulous garden area outside their doors.

Christina was there to greet us & help with our suitcases. Immediately made us feel at home. ... The location was very conveniently located to get around Florence on foot. We very much enjoyed going to the little restaurant Nabucco for our morning breakfast. The staff was very friendly & serves an excellent B&B breakfast.
... At check out time both Christina & Guiseppe were there to say Ciao & help with our luggage. ... Christina made reservations to several museums for us before we arrived, so we didn't have to wait in line. Also, when asked for a nice restaurant not too expensive, suggested one of her favorites that turned out to be our best meal in Florence. ... We thoroughly enjoyed our stay/visit with Christina & Guiseppe. Would definitely stay there again and recommend Relais Grand Tour to our friends & anyone visiting Florence.

Very quiet in terms of outside noise. Not very good insulation between the suites. Could hear other room converstions. But, I would take that over city noise any day. ... Very nice rooms. Did not feel like a hotel at all. Felt like a lovely one room student flat. Nice bathroom! ... I woild recommend this place to a friend. I might add to bring a little insect repellant as we had a few mosqitoes in the room that bothered my husband at night.

Walking to most points of interest is very simple. ... Relais Grand Tour was an excellent place to reside while in Florence. Cristina and her husband were gracious hosts. The room and furnishings were in lovely and in excellent condition. The proprietor, Cristina, was very nice and very helpful. She made many reservations for us before we arrived. The fact that the patrons spoke french and english reassured me greatly ... Really apreciated the location of Relais Grand Tour, in the middle of everything we wanted to see, within walking distance ... Not sure if it is stated on the web site the fact that you need to pay CASH upon departing Not a problem in my case ... I would not be affraid of recommending the Relais Grand Tour to any of my Canadian friends visiting Florence, as a matter of fact I would urge them to reserve there. I already have recommended the place to a friend who intends to go to Florence in the near future.

I've used a few travel websites, and have found yours to be exceptionally well-organised and easy to use. I very much like the different categories within each accommodation site (profile, accommodations, FAQS, etc.) ... I wasn't aware of the Vacation Planner option. ... To look for accommodation in the Saturnia region. ... Re: when requesting availability of accommodation: I REALLY wish that the site was set up to remember the information you have typed in for one accommodation when requesting availability for another. It is very time consuming to type all of the information over and over. ... I thought from the website that the theatre and garden were available to the guests, but they were not. i found this abit misleading. Had we been staying for a number of days, and had wished to avail of the garden, this would have been a great disappointment. ... I have used it to book 6 different accommodations, and each has been a totally positive experience. I have great faith in the website. ... Beautiful, comfortable rooms. Artfully and tastefully appointed rooms. We felt very welcome, and enjoyed the stay very much.

Excellent. The room was spacious and had beautiful historic tiling. Much cheaper than all the hotels I looked into and the rooms had great character. Our room faced to the back of the property so it was very quiet also. Within easy walking distance of the sites.

We were met by the charming Camilla who gave us maps, local information, the offer of booking museums etc. Could not have been more helpful. It was far more personal that arriving at a hotel and the property is delightful. ... The location in the historic centre was fantastic. The suite was very comfortable and given the central setting, it was a peaceful haven with the added bonus of our own little courtyard. Plus, the decor was so unique, it was a lovely experience, very different from the norm. There was also a plethora of literature available on Florence and the surrounding area. ... Again, the owner offered to book us transport to the bus station (unneccesary as it is truly walkable, which must be a plus) ... I think my previous comments confirm that the accommodation is excellent. The arrangement with the local Nabucca wine bar for breakfast is excellent and the area is very well served with reasonably priced restaurants. ... The same way that two previous friends who had stayed at the Grand Tour Relais described to me - Unique, excellent location - I just have and a fourth friend is hoping to visit in November! I think that is the best testament one can give a property.

Very friendly staff who were always willing to help. ... In relation to question 7, we were expecting to have air conditioning in the room as stated on the website but there wasn't any. Unfortunately, as it was quite hot we had to sleep with the window open and thus the mosquito's came in and bit us! This was the only thing stated on the website that was not available at the accomodation. ... Both Cristina & Giusseppe were very helpful throughout our stay - recommending restaurants, booking museums etc. - which certainly made things easier for us. ... One morning we wanted to go out early and G. rememberd to put our breakfast out an hour and a half earlier than normal. Very thoughtful. ... Out of the way and quaint. This was by far the most helpful and kindest treatment we got on our entire trip. These people really are caring and want you to enjoy yourself. ... The rooms were beautiful! Friendlyness and helpfulness of the staff was great! Bed was extremly comfortable and the bathroom had a large tub with shower fixture. Shower had great water preasure and consistently hot water, something lacking at the other places we stayed. Comfort items like matress quality, size of shower and water pressure are extremly important when traveling and in theses area this B and B were the absolute best. The only problem with the room was in the positioning next to the reception are as you hear the owners talking and the phone ringing and such. The room itself was very comfortable and clean and the welcome great. ... We had one problem which may have been the fault of both of us. I had changed the reservation at one point, adding a day. My change was acknowledged and agreed to but Christine (the owner) didn't get it marked into her scheduling book and booked another couple into our room for our last night. Fortunately, we went to pay a day early as we had the cash and didn't want to continue to carry it with us. When the problem was discovered, Christine made several calls to try and get us booked in at other nearby B&B's but all were already booked. As we had covered quite a lot of what we wanted to in Florence, my husband suggested we see if a night could be added to our next stop. Christine phoned and was able to make the arraingements and all worked well in the end.

Cristina was extremely helpful, even in advance of our stay in Florence. We corresponded by email regarding wheelchair accessible places to visit with my son the week prior to my stay at Relais Grand Tour. She really didn't have to respond to that extraneous request for advice. Our reception was welcoming. ... My sister and I shared a room for one night only. We slept peacefully. The beds were very comfortable and the room pleasant. The location is extremely quiet. Breakfast was served via a beautiful polished wood rolling cart brought to our room exactly at the time we had requested. We relaxed in bed as we ate our delicious breakfast and made our plans for the day. We felt as if we were in the spare room of a gracious family. The bathroom was really tiny, but sufficient. The entry to the building is a bit glum, but we felt safe. We were very close to the sites, but far enough away from crowds and noise. ... Checking out was easy. We were allowed to keep the keys to the building and to leave our luggage while we explored a bit more of Florence. ... I guess we were expecting a small hotel, but instead we entered an apartment building. The entrance does not allude to the gracious welcoming we would receive once inside the Relais. ... I thought the room we had (blue room) was cute and was decorated and furnished nicely. You can see a picture of the bathroom that the shower is very small with a curtain, so it was hard not to get water all over the bathroom floor. Our room was on the street and even with the windows all closed, it was loud when street cleaners and such went by in the early morning. Some of the things listed as available actually weren't-like it said there were hairdryers in all the rooms-I'm not sure if we were supposed to ask, but I didn't. Also,it said the price included a fruit basket, but now I see it says 'on request'. The only other thing that was weird was that when we arrived we only got 2 very small towels in the bathroom and one day we got really big ones and extra hand towels etc and then back to the really small ones again. I suppose we could have asked for more towels, but we didn't. Also, you were allowed to use the internet, but you had to find an owner to enter the password and I didn't really run into them very often. ... Overall a good experience, close to central area and walking distance to train station was nice.

Our major problem was that on the second night very noisy people were put in the room next to us and they kept us up a lot of the next two nights.
