Be prepared to live surrounded by history, as the 5-storey construction where the inn nowadays works was the Parliament house for the Italian Republic when it was formed, between 1865 and 1870. In fact, the Sala Parlamento where guests indulge in an American buffet these days, was the actual Parliament room back then when Florence served as a capital to the kingdom. The last renovations in the Hotel Bernini Palace were carried out in May 2005. |
Nevertheless, many tracks of history can still be found at the remarkable wallpapers, tapestries and fabrics inside the 74 guestrooms: choose among the suites on the Tuscan floor, or the views from the narrow streets of Medieval Florence. At the lodging, you will enjoy a great location within the cultural centre of Florence: within walking reach are the must-sees Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Vecchio and Galleria degli Uffizi. |
