By Plane
Peretola airport in Florence welcomes connections flying from Rome, London, Munich and Paris, among other cities in Europe, on a regular basis, being the most important air terminal in the Tuscany region. It is placed only 9 kilometres from the property and can be easily reached by car (it is a 15 minutes drive) or public transport.
By Car
Once you leave Sesto Fiorentino, where the Peretola terminal is located, go along Via dei Cipresi, Via di Montione and Viale 11 Agosto. You will come to a roundabout where you must take the first exit into Viale Alessandro Guidone. As you enter Florence, drive along Via Alessandro Guidoni, turn right in Via Ermenegildo Santoni, again in Via Francesco Geminiani and go along Viale Luigi Gori. Veer left in Via Giuseppe Martucci and pass Peretola. Continue along Via Francesco Baracca and you will arrive in Florence. Take Piazza Giacommo Puccini and Via del Ponte alle Mosse. You will find the hotel on number 65.
By Train
At Peretola airport you may take a shuttle service to Santa Maria Nouvella station, from where you may take a taxi. Otherwise, get on buses number 29 or 30 in front of Bar Deanna and descend at the third stop, after Via delle Porte Nuove.
If you decide to walk from the station, it is 5 minutes on foot up to Hotel Leopolda, turn right in Via Jacopo da Diaceto, turn left up to Piazzalle della Porta al Prato and cross the square: by then you will have arrived in Via Ponte alle Mosse.
Bear in mind that if you arrive at Rome, you can take trains leaving to Santa Maria Nouvella station on a regular basis (it is a 1 hour 40 minutes trip, approximately). |
