although this is a small hotel and there is some redevelopment in progress,it is clean comfortable and the staff are very friendly.it is also ideally located and very reasonably priced.

If looking for moderately priced accomodation in florence we would have no hesitation in using this hotel again

the owners appear to be upgrading the property and some public rooms were out of use however this did not really affect our stay and when completed will enhance the stay

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They also upgraded us to a better room on the 2nd evening at no additional cost. I believe they have an above average service orientation and are foccussed on customer care.

Not a top notch hotel but got a good Italian feel with alot of character. Staff very friendly and breakfast good. Played music which gave a nice vibe. Very well located and would recommed it.

They were under construction when we arrived, but went out of their way to make up for it.
You should put on the site that you can't bring a car into most of Florence. Unloading our luggage was tough.Our car sat in a far away spot for the whole week we were there.

We loved the hotel and the changes will make it even better. We would like to return next year.I hope they don't raise their prices by too much.The staff was great.

We arrived early and were allowed to leave our bags so we could explore the city. That was great.

The property was being painted so sometimes the lift was not available. This was not a big problem. I think the upkeep will make the hotel even better.

Receptionist very helpful and welcoming. It is a lot further from the station than is published in your information. We walked from the station as we understood it to be only 300 metres. It is quite a bit further and especialy so when dragging large suitcases.

We were a little disappointed by the size of our room (#12.Please check the closet as the screw on the handle is too long and caught on my shirt sleeve three times pulling threads in my clothes.)It really is only a broom closet size and is a shame after the grand reception rooms and the hotels wonderful location on the river. It was also very noisy on the passageway. It was reasonably clean but lacked the facilities to match the front office. We do understand that you are renovating the hotel and intend to provide better rooms. We were unable to upgrade to a River view room as none were available during our stay. All this said we are not unhappy but put it down to travelling experience. When we return to Florence, we would certainly stay at Hotel Bretegna again if one of your better rooms was to be available. We enjoyed your beautiful city.

An hotel in a wonderful old home, in exactly the best location in town, but be wary as some of the rooms are tiny.
