Coming by Plane:
- The best way to reach us from Peretola-Amerigo Vespucci airport is by taxi. Otherwise you can take the shuttle bus "Volainbus" up to Santa Maria Novella station.
Then take bus D up to Ponte Vecchio stop.
Cross the bridge and you will find the hotel in the small square on your right.
- From Galileo Galilei airport of Pisa (90 km from Florence)there is a train leaving directly from the airport to S.M.Novella of Florence as well as a public bus shuttle service. Once at S.Maria Novella station you can reach us by taxi or by bus D.
Coming by Car:
After the exit Firenze Certosa enter the road Via Senese. You will see directions for Firenze centro (Florence center) and come to the Porta Romana (monument Roman Door).
Pass under Porta Romana's arch and enter via Romana. Drive up via Maggio. Enter via Maggio and proceed up tothe end of this street:you will see the Arno river and the bridge called "Ponte S. Trinità". Cross the bridge and turn right into the road Lungarno Acciaiuoli; at the end of Lungarno Acciaiuoli you will see the Ponte Vecchio on your right and immeditiately, after the bridge you will see the hotel on your left hand side.
Be very careful after passing Ponte Vecchio, the street splits up, straight on following the river and on the left in a small alley (at the beginning you will see a zebra crossing/pedestrian crosswalk). Turn into this small alley, there is a Bar/Gelateria with the name "Caffè delle Carozze" with a little outside spot with a few tables, located in the same building (streetlevel) of the Hotel. Stop the car before the little arch in front.
Coming by Train:
Santa Maria Novella railway station is at approx. 800 metres far from the hotel; the best way to reach us if is by taxi, otherwise by bus D (see previous instructions). |
