Only problem I had was not being able to use an iron in the room. As I was only there for night I could not send anything out to be ironed.

Staff very friendly. Hotel in a good position. I had a room at the back so it was quiet don't know what it would be like at the front of the hotel.

The property was very noisy, although the proximity to the train station made this acceptable. The attention from the staff was excellent. all requests were handled promptly and efficently. The only real issue was the bed, it was the most uncomfortable we have ever slept in, a pillow and blanket on the floor would have been as comfortable.

The Hotel staff was very helpful at every point along the way -- providing recommendations for dinner, a voucher for a welcome drink in the hotel bar, in general, very good experience.

We had a lovely room with a HUGE two-level balcony overlooking the courtyard and pool. It could not have been lovelier and was more than I had expected.

Everything was good. The comment about fair value for the money was that in general, we found both Florence and Venice very expensive. We got better value for the same money in Lucca and the small town of San Gusme where we stayed. This is less about the hotel itself than the hotel price inflation of more heavily touristed areas.

Positive -- the Rivoli is about a 5-7 minute walk from the train station. Makes it easy to travel by train and easily get your belongings to the hotel. I was worried that given its proximity to the station, it would be noisy -- but it was a quiet and peaceful haven in the middle of an overwhelmingly busy city.

The air conditioning did not operate well. It was quite hot in the room. The shower temperature varied from scalding to moderate every other minute and was a safety issue. The sheets were quite coarse. The accommodations were not what I expected at a 4 star hotel.

The size of the jacuzzi is very misleading in the pictures. It is actually quite small. The illusion of a number of people lounging around it is impossible in actuality

The location was good. The breakfasts were adequate but the staff was not particularly friendly and it is not worthy of its 4 stars.

A very nice hotel, very charming. However the staff is courteous but not very friendly or helpful. It always felt like one was asking for a favor. Perhaps a bit of an attitude.
