i have a mobily disability and the staqff went to great links to insure that we rented an apartment with no steps and with a nice large lift...they frequently corresponded with us to insure our needs were meet....i was really impressed

you should let people know that there are facilities that are handicap accessible ....

The house was nice and in a great location. The only problem we had were the showers. One began leaking onto the floor as soon as water was turned on and one did not drain properly filling up so fast that water had to be turned off after about 2 minutes. There was a third shower, but it was hard for 4 adults and 3 children to use only one shower.

This apartment was in a great location and perfect for families who are traveling.

The week we spent in Florence was very hot but the airconditioning in one of the bedrooms did not work. This made it very uncomfortable for sleeping. The lonunge was beautifully air-conditioned.

We called from the train station when we arrived and discovered that Federico had a family emergency and could not meet us instantly. He came as soon as possible, and we waited comfortably in the pub next door. Unfortunete but unavoidable - we did understand.

There was no on-site staff, so that should not be rated. Property was very comfortable, well equipped and elegant. The best of the three apartments we used in our Italy trip.

We called the 'receptionist,' as instructed on his cell. We had a bit of a wait until he arrived. He explained everything quite well.
The cash payment is a bit difficult for those newly arriving in Italy--it's inconvenient to obtain that many euros in advance.

A list & map of nearby markets (grocery, bakery) would have been helpful.

check out simply entailed calling the person's cell and leaving the keys. very easy

Fredrico, met us, ushered us to our apartment, and was very kind.The bookshelves had three books about Florence and or Italy which we utilized.

Not exactly 'worse', just that it was not stocked with soap, dish soap, paper towels. It only left us 1/2 roll of toilet paper which lasted till the next morning. We had to find a market and haul it all back. Other European apartments have had these available to us. Some of the lights did not work well, some had no bulbs.
Otherwise it was in good condition and was a very nice location and place to stay.

Easy, because we paid in advance.You might want to add that the cable chanels are all german! Only a few chanels in english; we watched a lot of CNN :)

The person we first met was polite but her English was not good enough to communicate. We had to wait for another person to come and answer some of the questions that we had.

The towels which all had different colours didn't look clean enough so we had to buy some towels from the nearby Rinascente to use during our stay. Nobody in our group had a matching set of white towels which one expects to get when staying in an accomodation.The sheets and the pillow cases had stains on them which made all of us uncomfortable, although they were not dirty. The beds were not comfortable. The bathrooms were too small and didn't look clean enough. The shower curtains had also stains and they were smelling. The drawers and the wardrobes were too old, dusty and creaking. There were no soaps, just one roll of toilet paper in each bathroom for 8 days stay. The kitchen was too small and again, not clean enough. Mosquitos were also a big problem until we took some measures!

The apartment certainly needs some kind of a renovation and some reasonably new and comfortable furniture.

The apartment is indeed conveniently situated in the city center. However it is not comfortable and clean enough. I don't recommend it unless you are really fond of 500 years old houses.
