Hotel Giglio is great- I felt very welcomed upon my arrival and taken care of immediately. My room was great and available when I arrived (which was pretty late at night). I had called ahead to make sure my late arrival would not be a problem and they assured me that my room would be available and someone would be waiting at whatever hour I arrived!

I really felt that the staff at Hotel Giglio were taking care of me. They were able to answer all of my questions, call cabs when I needed them, and even warned me that a large group would be eating breakfast the next morning but that they would seat me in a separate room if that would be more comfortable. They helped me to figure out how to change my plane ticket and get in touch with a travel agent when that was necessary. They were very helpful and personally caring!

This hotel is right in the heart of Florence- a few blocks from the Duomo and other major museums and attractions. It is pretty quiet and peaceful and is a beautiful little hotel!The staff are so friendly and personal- they all seemed to know who I was right away and were very helpful. And the breakfast was delicious and had a variety of options- in a pretty little breakfast room- a great way to start your day.

Very welcoming and helpful. I had left my paperwork at home and the receptionist did not raise a problem as they had all my details.

The room was very quiet and cleanliness was exceptional. The bathroom was good and the double glazing kept out the road noise from outside.

We had to leave early in the morning, so checked out the night before. No problems.

We actually arrived having just had my wife's purse snatched on the street! While this was maddening, and difficult to work out, the Giglio staff (Maria and Marco) were wonderful, and helped in every way they could.

A large old building, full of character, with very high ceilings, about fifteen minutes walk from the city centre - but quiet. Although the building is old, the interior has been thoroughly renovated in good taste, so the rooms are very comfortable.

The hotel staff was very welcoming and informative about our many options for dining and site seeing. I believe that the staff member's name was Luca and he was very up to date on every detail.

A fine little hotel on the second floor - friendly and welcoming, comfortable beds and bathroom, clean and accommodating. They were comfortable in English and other languages, yet let me practice my Italian helpfully.

Great hotel, not in the heart of the city so less crowded, easy walk(10 minutes or so)or bus ride into the city. Staff was excellent.

Clean and neat, left very early in the morning (4am) no lights in the hallway so it was challenging to negotiate with suitcases.
