By Car: Coming from the highway A1 exit at Firenze Certosa and you will find a round about. Coming from the motorway from Siena n. 56 e and from the road Cassia SR2 you will find the same round-about drive over roundabout following the blue sign for 'Firenze' and the brown sign 'Certosa'. Drive underneath the motorway and after about 1 km you will start seeing the monastery Certosa up on a hill on the lefthandside and further on you see a white sign in black writing indicating I Parigi on the right, (the street is not easy to see, in the summer on the opposite side of the road there is a fruit stand right under the closter wall) exactly here you can either turn sharp right into via luigiana or better drive 200 mt further to a small roundabout and come back so you can take the via luigiana in a easier way, now follow the small road uphill and when it flattens out you will see on your left I Parigi, easily recognisable by the cipress lined path that leads to the entrance. Coming from the city centre follow the Via Senese in the southern part of the city, passed the town Galluzzo and following the signs Siena/Autostrada you will see the via luigiana on the left going up to the restaurant Certosa. In the summer there is a fruit stand just opposite the street.
By Taxi: Florence Airport, Amerigo Vespucci is 12 km from I Parigi. The cost of a taxi is about 30,00 euro. The railway station and the historic centre are 10-15 minutes drive from I Parigi. The cost of a taxi is about 20,00 euro.
By Bus: If you arrive at the main train station take bus number 37 (or 68 at night) and get off at stop CERTOSA 1 (tell the driver not to stop at the previous one PONTE BAILEY, which is the one for the monastery Certosa) I Parigi is at 10/15 minutes walk (it is steep!) if you phone in advance we can arrange to pick you up at the bus stop. |
