Absolutely no problems atall - we took a taxi from the SMN railway station and arrived 15 minutes later - cost was 21 Euros

I Parigi was as good as we hoped and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Of particular note, the mini bar in the room was very well stocked and very reasonably priced making it a most useful asset for our stay.

Everything was organised and easy - the taxi arrived early (booked by I Parigi) and our early departure did not cause any fuss or problem to the staff.

I think it should be made a little clearer that access to restaurants in the evening is not straightforward unless you take a taxi which will be expensive over a longer stay.

The bus did not stop as we had requested and let us off about 1.5 stops down the road. We walked back to the nearest village, called I Parigi and they immediately came to get us. Excellent service!

The Junior Suite was wonderful. We are a family of 5 and the room was very spacious. The bathroom was large as well. We were very comfortable here.

Excellent and good value for money food provided.
The distance to town and ill acessibility by foot (steep hill) should be stated in the description of I Parigi. We have a baby with cot and there wasn't even a sidewalk on the road leading into Florence.

In terms of directions, item 1, The bus info
to Guluzzio were clear. However, there are several stops in Guluzzio (which we were unaware of) and we were not informed at which one we were to exit the bus. The ten
minute walk mentioned in the internet info is irrelevent if you don't know which way to
walk.
HOWEVER, GUIDO WAS FANTASTIC!
When we called he came down and picked us up. Also,because I am in a wheelchair, he drove us to the bus and picked us up each evening.

going to roof level so we could sit and watch the sun set over the Tuscan hills and

I did not click an answer on the first question because I don't remember even reading the directions given. I took a taxi from the train station. It could have been noted which number bus to take from the station, as that turned out to be an easy alternative far less costly. I had asked for that information and never received a reply.

When we arrived and saw the building we thought it was absolutely fantastic it is outof this world and was certainly a wonderful sight after a long journey the staff were most helpful and carried our luggage to the room for us .we werre very happy on our arrival.

This property is gorgeous. It's in the Tuscan countryside as advertised, but very close by bus to the city. Taxis are not too expensive, either, and readily available when telephoned. The people are very helpful, too.

We drove from Rome and the directions were perfect. My sister and her husband arrived by train from Milan and missed the bus stop. When she called I Parigi they immediately offered to collect them.

We were tentative about driving to Florence, but Guido was very helpful in providing easy driving directions to a piazza with free parking, and an easy walk into Florence.
When we inquired about somewhere to have dinner, once again Guido was very helpful - he even called the restaurant to make the reservation for us.

The B&B runs a shuttle at 9:30 a.m. every morning to Firenze.

The property is absolutely beautiful. Marco, the owner's son, is very helpful & patient. The B&B is close enough to Firenze to be able to see the sites yet far enough away that you feel like your in another world. It is the perfect location for a relaxing vacation in the Tuscan countryside. I would go back in a heartbeat.

A fabulous place. Absolutely stunning location, views and service. This is absolutley a wonderful stop on your trip, very low key and stress free. No hustle bustle and I would stay again. The laundry services are pay services similar to dry cleaning a bit pricey, we had expected to do some laundry.

We had been held up for nearly three hours in a traffic jam on the A1. We telephoned Marco from the motorway to advise him that we would be arriving late. He kindly offered to prepare some pasta when we arrived. it certainly helped to recover from the terrible journey.

Since April 2004 a new service has been introduced - a shuttle bus into the city in the morning.
We used the bus, because the times were more convenient, but it is very easy and inexpensive to travel into the city.

You do need transportation in and out of the property in my opinion. It would be very hard to navigate using public transportation only. We took a taxi to get there and used the shuttle provided by I Parigi to go into town.

We were able to find I Parigi with no problem although the turn from the main highway was a bit frightening. We were so pleased to be upgraded due to availability and were very warmly welcomed.

I Parigi was all we expected and more. Our room had a private garden and was spacious. Having a shuttle every morning to downtown Florence gave us the option of just parking our car for a few days, a nice break from driving in the city. Also easy internet access allowed us to check in at home easily and economically. My daily visits with the resident cat also added to the ambience, and the views of the Tuscan hills was magnificent

Friendly and helpful staff with good tips about the region. Hard to find at first - VERY nasty right hand turn required to get onto the street where the property is located. Overall well worth the time to research and find. Enjoyed the place tremendously and would recommend it with pleasure to anyone heading to the region.

The comments about the loaction being up a very steep hill is correct, you ideally need a car or be willing to walk up a very long steep hill. Bus stop at end of road (best way to get into florence). Swimming pool very cold (start June), needs a full summer to warm up. Setting beautiful, however the need to drive to get to resturants could be a problem, unless you book self catering option. Hosts very accomodating, Pizza and pasta dishes available at reasonable rates, Own wine also reasonable and good price.

We stayed in 9 different places while in Europe, and one of our FAVORITE places was I Parigi. The accomodations were terrific and the grounds/location was spectacular. We had two rooms and both parties agreed that we should return just to enjoy the relaxation of I Parigi. The pool area was terrific and the breakfast was great with a beautiful setting. The owners were very nice and helpful. A great experience!

I Parigi B&B is a wonderful place and my wife and I had a wonderful time and stay. The walk from the bus stop to I Parigi is a steep 1200 ft walk. That is the only thing that was a bit of problem. Recommend renting a car or scooter, definitely call ahead for the hotel staff to pick you up at the bus stop if you choose to use the bus. Other than that I will recommend I Parigi to my friends and family. Great trip! We loved Italy and will come again!

Wonderful Castle like villa on top of the beautiful Tuscan hills, with outstanding views. Friendly and helpful staff. Great and comfortable rooms with a nice light breakfast in the mornings. Local restaurants are great. We ate a Bibe's which had wonderful cuisine. La Certosa Ristorante was good as well. Definitely worth the affordable price. Just plan ahead for the walk if you don't rent a car or scooter.

We arrived earlier than expected and the place looked deserted.There are locked gates at the entrance, with a bell. We had to wait a few minutes before we were let in.

We had the best time at I Parigi. We talked about it for the rest of our trip through Italy. The room was beautiful and totally clean. If I had one suggestion about the room we stayed in it would be to possibly consider a new mattress for the sleeper sofa, just a suggestion though.

I Parigi was fantastic, it is a great place to stay when in Tuscany. You are only 15 minutes to Florence by bus and if you rent a car, it easy to get around to other locations in Tuscany. The staff were very helpfull with directions or suggestions. We will definitly stay there again when we return to Tuscany

I parigi is a beautiful property and Marco the host was wonderful. His suggestions and advice helped make our stay in Florence outstanding. The property itself is magnificent. Views from the swimming pool are breathtaking. We would not hesitate to stay there again. It could not have been more wonderful.

Excellent location, wonderful staff, extremely helpful. My family and I travelled throughout Italy for a month (we arrived back yesterday) and stayed in several B&B's. Marco offered the best customer service of anyone. He is to be commended highly.

As stated above, they offered a very high calibre of customer service that I did not see elsewhere. Being from Canada we really appreciate that extra care and both Marco and his brother offered it. I was in communication with Marco several times by email before our arrival and he was prompt with all his responses, offered much assistance and also made several reservations for me for Florence museums.

The porperty was absolutely beautiful. At first we had
booked one night, but we added another night simply to
enjoy I Parigi.
The only tricky thing was the sharp turn up the hill to get
to the property, but they did warn us of this. Overall, it
was well worth our stay and we would stay there again.

Marco was nice and helpful. He gave us
recommendations for dinner and directions within the
city. Our last night we found this restuarant going
towards Sienna, about 15 minutes away from I Parigi,

it was away from the tourist concentrated areas.

wonderful vistas especially from the room with the viewing room = adjacent town galuzzo is a slice of a real italian town and has THE BEST ICES i have tasted so far in italy - marco drives you into twn every am at 9;15 and leaves you off at the pitti palace - the return bus trip is easy but people should know the walk up the hill is vigorous but beautiful - the breakfast setting is wonderful - covered outdoor on the grounds - and the croissants are the best == swimming pool is clean and envigoratingg

A very nice, charming and calm place.
Very convenient to visit Firenze.
I have selected Parigi for its location compared to the possibility to visit Firenze in a easy way, without taking a car, and as well for the rate compared to the prestation and it matches.
I would like to suggest you to have some bus ticket available, as in italy you can not buy them in the bus and shops are one or two Km far from the hotel.
But this is a minor issue, and i will recommend that place anyway.
The second point is the indication to find the way to the hotel, visible from one way and not from the way coming from the highway.

We came from centre of Florence & could not find the correct road out. Eventually we had to stop at a garage & ask directions. It took us a long time to find the correct route. I'm sure that if we had come from a different direction it would have been easier for us.

The Double Style room was very spacious, clean and excellent attention to detail given to the items such as B&B branded beveridges within a well stocked mini bar. Fantastic views over the Tuscan Hills with a feeling of seclusion. Excellent well attended hillside pool.

I Parigi is beautiful, quiet, clean, friendly and welcoming. I would recommend it to anyone and would love to go back there. The bus into Florence, though, can be a bit of a nightmare. The road is extremely busy and the bus usually crammed. The nearby shops are not accessible on foot as the road is very dangerous and has no pavement.

Directions using public transportation, or for taxi from the Florence train station, would be useful -- landmarks & descriptions of the turns would also help. [there is one particularly sharp turn that we missed because the signs aren't visible until the very last minute.

We arrived late, about 6 pm due to traffic
coming from Venice. It took a while to figure
out how to get in, as there is a locked gate
at the front. Anyway, this was solved quickly
and Marco was wonderful. If you are going to
arrive after 4, call and let Marco know!

Mosquitos were a bit of a nuisance, but the management installed a device that seemed to solve the problem.

Even though I Parigi is 3.3 miles outside of the city center, it is on a main bus line. We never had to wait more than 15 minutes either direction. A possible drawback to some may be the 1/3 mile hill from the main road to the property. It may be a better accommodation if you have a car, but we did fine using the bus. The quietness of the location made up for any inconvenience not being in the city.

I Parigi was like being at home (in a good way). The hosts were very gracious; the breakfast was very nice with good choices. It does not feel like a tourist hotel; it is like a home.

Great place, very quiet and charming. Much prefer to stay here than right in Florence. Hosts will cook pasta dishes and serve you, great value and quality. The apt. we had was not air conditioned( the only room as such). Be sure to verify, it wasn't a major issue but we thought we had a/c, it was just an honest mis-communication. Over-all I would highly recommend and would stay there again for sure!

Lovely property on top of hill with narrow stone wall lined road leading to it (beautiful red poppies and yellow colt's foot were in bloom along wall our first day). The bus, restaurants, banks, and shops are a walk down the steep hill, perhaps this might be mentioned for older guests (a rough go for someone not in good physical condition). What would have improved our stay was a list of local restaurants and stores with directions--when one walks down the steep hill, one is on a VERY busy main highway into Florence, and we were a bit timid about exploring on foot. As we were going home, we realized we could have walked to area places if we had only known in which direction to go. I realize we could have asked, but we are always timid about bothering others. Written information in the room would have solved the problem. The owners were very good about bus information, schedules, tickets, etc. into Florence. The view was absolutely beautiful, and ground were lovely.

Once we left the hustle and bustle of Florence, how nice it was to reach the quiet of I Parigi. I can see how people who wrote in their guest book wish to return year after year. We splurged and took the panorama room, and the view was incredible!

Lovely retreat in the hills above Florence. Helpful hosts with an excellent command of English. The hosts gave us a marked map of the bus route into Florence, and explained the bus system, without which map and information we would have been lost. We could have used information on local restaurants and shops (we skipped dinner one night because it was overwhelming confusing to decide which direction to go looking for food. One must walk along one of the busiest roads into Florence, and we were uncertain which direction to go. Had we known, it would have been possible to find food.) Because of the steep hill and narrow stone walled lane, we didn't want to take the car out at all after we arrived, until when we had to leave. The car parking was very spacious, as promised, and property was lovely. We hadn't expected the TV with 170 satellite channels, and my husband enjoyed surfing the various languages and programs, including some from former Soviet Republics.

My husband and I had reserved a one bedroom apartment to share with my sister. We were very impressed that our host had put a single bed into a roomy alcove of our apartment so that my sister could sleep there instead of on the sofa bed. It was like she had her own little bedroom. This made her stay much more comfortable.

We would suggest putting some instructions for the egg cooker on the breakfast table as well as a heat-proof glove or pot holder. We and most of our fellow guests were not sure how to operate it and several of us burned our fingers upon opening it.

Very satisfied with the accomodation and the staff were extremely kind and helpful. If there was one complaintit would be that there was no air conditionining in my room (other members of party did get AC) which made our room unbearably hot with no air coming in from outside - just mosquitos.

The distance to the mainstation is 8km. The bus to town needs 45minutes. On hollydays the is no bus to town, so you need a car. The place is very nice and quiet.

Idyllic nearby escape from the city (not that one needs to escape from Florence) for lounging by the pool and sighing at the sunset over the olive groves and hills in the distance, giggling at the lizards leaping to safety in the crunching leaves beneath the sun-drenched walls, rubbing a hand along the rosemary shrubs growing freely and breathing in the aroma of it, and basking in the silent revery of tall shadows of the pine trees.

The website states that cars may be left at the hotel and the bus may be taken into the city. This is true and we took advantage of it, but people should know that the bus stop is at least a half kilometer from the hotel, and that there is a VERY steep hill to walk up to get back to the hotel upon return. This could be a problem for young children or older guests. Also, at the bus stop there is no place to stand to wait for the bus except for ON the busy road, literally plastering your body against a stone wall to avoid getting hit.

i think they were doing work on the place- our friends had raved about the food and the kitchen was closed- the view from our room was amazing but the bed itself and the sofa in the room were in pretty sad shape. the satellite tv wasn't working at first, but someone came in and fixed it- but there was only 1 english channel. overall it was very beautiful there but it seemed like the place was in transition and all the services were not available. they were extremely helpful with calling taxis and helping us to make reservations for dinner in galuzzo though. i was just disappointed with the room itself (not the view, the furntiture)and the fact that the kitchen was closed.

The private terrace was not private. It was also a walkway for others to go to the pool.
The apartment looked like it needed a freshening up.
