We were a little aprehensive when we approached the property, mostly because the street it is on was torn up for utility work. It was dusty and quite messed up. The inside of the building was just fine though; street repairs are inevitible wherever you go.

Francesco, one of the owners, recommended a wonderful restaurant to us that was just aroung the corner, Mama Toscana's. It was wonderful, we ate there 2 nights in a row. Both the service & food were fantastic and the prices were very reasonable.

We took photos of the owners when we left. My Italian is limited and Francesco & Anna Maria's English is about the same. What we couldn't work out verbally we handled quite well with charades. They are a delightful couple.

The Katti House is very close to the train & bus stations so it is very convenient. As much as we had no problem in terms of safety in the area, it is definitely not a calm quiet neighborhood. Our savior was the air conditioner which we had to run due to the heat; without that we may have had to leave the windows open which may have been noisy.

Only if they were willing to accept the bustling nature of the old town location of Katti House. If you can relax with that, you'll feel very comfortable. It is very close to many of the major sites in Firenze.

I was expecting from other reviews to be able to communicate in English, however, we relied totally on our Italian guide to speak with our hosts.

I was expecting to stay in an apartment from the description online, so in that respect I did not get what I expected. The two double rooms (with private baths) that we did end up staying in were beautiful and fit our needs perfectly. There was also an extra cost involved, but Katti House was still a wonderful place to stay.

The hosts of Katti House were very accomodating to us at check out even though we had a very challenging situation due to a medical emergency the night before. They allowed us to store our luggage in a secure place after checking out while alernate arrangements were being made. Our hosts were very sympathetic and caring .

I believe that people should be aware of the language limitations so that communicating would be easier.

I would highly recommend Katti House to anyone visiting Florence. The location is excellent, central to everything, the rooms are clean and modern, with air-conditioning, and the hosts make you feel right at home.

We enjoyed our stay at Katti House and would recommend it to others. The only negative was noise from the street at night, but this was manageable, as Katti House has good windows, which reduces the noise. In summary, Katti House has a great location, clean facilities, and a friendly staff.
