The owner was not on site when we arrived, but had left us our arrival information (in English) in the entry way. There was another lady there who helped get our bags to the room. Note, there is no lift.

I found additional details about Le Stanze di Santa Croce on other websites. All descriptions were exactly as I found them. Wonderful! Everything I saw in photos was exactly as I found it upon arrival.

The owner spoke English (very helpful since we didn't speak Italian). She arranged for our taxi to the airport the day before we left as we had a very early flight the day of departure which was before the staff arrived at the house.

Please include more detail on the breakfast. The food was great and I suspect much more than many properties offered. The owner is also very willing to assist with tour information, shopping, and made our dinner reservations upon request.

One of the deciding factors in selecting Le Stanze di Santa Croce was that it was on the next street from our daughter's apartment. After arriving, we also valued the location as near to the city center, museums, churches, etc. The house is well maintained, extremely clean, staffed with friendly people, and the breakfasts are great. I would not consider staying in any place else should I return to Florence and I would recommend it without reservation!

Excellent rooms with individual identity. Service is homely and friendly, with breakfast served on a lovely open terrace. Restaurants recommended by the owner where amonst the best anywhere. A very good choice.

This is the best B&B we have been to yet. Mariangela is the perfect host. She made reservations at local restaurants for us and helped us organize our stay. Her cooking lesson was the best 'souvenir' of our trip. We can't wait to go back!

It was just like staying at home. The rooms are adorable. The terrace where breakfast is served is a perfect place to start the day as well as a nice spot to relax.

The owner of Le Stanze was very friendly and very helpful. She helped me and my boyfriend find a lovely restaurant and booked a tabel for us.

In a wonderful location and run by very friendly, helpful people. The environment was very personal, like staying at a friends house. If we'd stayed longer I'd have liked to have participated in the cookery classes that they have on offer. Next time for sure!

As the owner of this B&B does not keep regular hours at the property, the arrangement is that she provides a door code and you find some papers detailing your room and other necessities inside the front door. It is functional but not very welcoming.

While the owner and host is exceptionally helpful and nice, the room in which we stayed, La Martinella is not to the level described on the website. The room is exceptionally small and, most importantly, very noisy as it is close to the street, the windows are thin and there is a noisy restaurant nearby. However, the facilities are very clean and the breakfast is good.

Check out process was fine (check out the day before departure, which was good since we wanted to leave early). However the value for money on this property is very poor. I stayed at another Worldby.com property in the same city and received much better value for money. This was by far the most expensive B&B on our trip and by far the worst.

You should absolutely include that there is the possibility of significant street noise on the lower floors.

Stanze De Sante Croce is a very clean and warm environment with a caring hostess and very good breakfast. However, while all rooms are charged at the same rate, all rooms are not equal. In particular, La Martinella room is the smallest of the four rooms and is the only room located on the same level as the common areas. It is also very close to what seems like a small quiet street but becomes very noisy in the evening due to the large number of restaurants and bars in the area. My husband and I were unable to sleep for our two nights at this B&B and thus became quite ill. Some of this could be solved if the owner installed modern insulated windows in the rooms. I would not recommend this room and there are far better rooms available in Florence for 50 euros less per night. Other rooms in the B&B may be more acceptable for the price point.

The proprietress was not there when we arrived, but she had let us know that in advance and had e-mailed detailed directions for letting ourselves in.

The amount we paid seemed quite high for what it was but was probably consistent with the inflated prices we experienced everywhere in Florence.

It is noisy at night. The street noise doesn't stop until 2 or 3 am. But, again, that is more a condition of life in Florence than of the accommodation itself. The street itself was quieter than most.

The hostess is very pleasant and tries to help with museum tickets, bus schedules, etc.
