Locanda dei Poeti's rooms are located on two floors, furnished in a very original way following different inspiration. In the first floor you will find classical poetry's works (till the 16th century) from Dante to Petrarca, Lorenzo il Magnifico, Shakespeare, till to Cecco Angiolieri. |
 "Lorenzo il Magnifico" Room
An 18 square meters double room, furnished in classical Florentine stile, with decorations and tailor made pieces of furniture. The main colours of this room are gold, yellow and white. The furniture, created by local artists, is hand made on decorated wood. The floor is in a typical Florentine majolica with engravings on some of Lorenzo il Magnifico's works. The lighting has been carefully developed to create a relaxing and warm atmosphere. |
 "Dante Alighieri" Room
A 10 square metres single room furnished in classical style using different tones of blue, with well lightened ivory coloured walls. The room is particularly silent. The floor was made using typical Florentine majolica and engravings by some "Divina Commedia" pieces.
The second floor is dedicated to modern and contemporary poets as Jacques Prevert, Tagore, Jimenez, Kavafis and Bertol Brecht only to mention some. |
 "Mediterranea" Room
A 15 square meters double room, furnished in modern stile using typical Mediterranean materials and colours. The furniture is made of raw warm "ocra" coloured wood, for clashing with the tones of blue of the walls. The room is detailed with finishing touches of sand, sea stars and pieces of wood from the Mediterranean beaches. Everything is lighted to make the tones of blue standing out. The floor is in atone of light oak wood. |
 "Orientale" Room
An 18 square meters double room, with the view on via Guelfa. The design of the room recalls an oriental and modern atmosphere. The double bed is low and made of wood. The light, built on the back of the bed, and the other ones, made of porcelain, on the side of the bed, create an elegant and suggestive atmosphere. Grey and orange are the main colours and the floor is an old wooden tone. |
